- I will miss the ghostly ZF whirr they make once they're gone! Here we have a half hour compilation of buses, like old times; 2005 New Flyer D40LF buses running for SEPTA. Fleet: 8000-8119. Not all the buses are included. Most of the buses in this compilation are now retired as of the publishing of this video. But a few (maybe only 2 or 3) still remain in 2024, at Callowhill Depot.
Spoiler: 8082 did not make it onto this compilation.
22:10 Man im gonna miss hearing these slow acceleration sounds once these are gone.
Nice footage of the beloved D40LFS Wizard
Thank you
Trainwizard never disappoints.
These buses will forever be held in our hearts.
I'll miss them just like I still miss the Neoplans to this day. Thank you
22:26 bus 8080 will always be my favorite forever! It would still be if that dumb as bus driver wouldn't have crashed it!
May they rest in Bus Heaven
Love the video get them while you can isn’t that many left will miss these busses better than them trash XDE40s
18:19 8066 the loudest D40LF out of all of them
Fantastic Video and wow my bus didn't even get no action 😭😭😭😭
8082 was missing in action during this time span. I might have an old clip from the far past lying around but it didn't make the cut.
I still miss these buses including my favorite 8082
8008. The last ex southern unit running.
Not necessarily. 8075 & 8083 are still kicking as well. They were also once southern buses.
Update: 8008 was sadly retired as it broke as I heard. Rip 8008. 2005-2024. 2 left!
they're both gone
I Love These Buses
Is it weird to say that these buses sound better than some supercars? 😂 Maybe, but either way I'm going to miss the sound of those axles howling from 2 miles away. It really is the end of an era, now with all the hybrids sounding the same. (Although that said, the new BAE Drive buses do sound pretty interesting once you ride on one in person).
the new flyer d40lfs are now all officially retired , rip septa d40lf 2000-2024
The 2023's Newflyers is a disgrace!
Ehhh not really. Sure they do suck for replacing old buses but look at the old fleet right now. They are aging from time to time each year. Septa had to replace them with xde40’s at some point. The L9’s are what everybody (or some no answer yet) hate but people love the BAEBRID’s because they gave them a chance and they proved themselves. So give them a chance pal. I gave them a chance and they nice, clean, quiet, and fast
The 2023’s are fast!
@@chrismoore5249damn straight. I rode one yesterday and it reached around 40 on the 57. I was amazed but also hyped that these are fast as hell. I love them!
Nice
They're all gone
