Back me up, Friends! A Bethadilly video is the best reward after finishing chores so you can sit, relax and watch! On the flip side, it is also the best reason to delay chores, so after watching you have something to think about while doing all the things that need to be done. Which one are you? Thanks for another great video! 😁
I have been watching Bethadilly videos all afternoon while rearranging and cleaning my new craft area. She is so sweet and relaxing to watch after a busy day. Can’t wait to see her craft room in her new house.
Love your video, as always! A few things- the hat press is controlled by an app on your phone called "Cricut Heat"! I think maybe you just missed that part in the instructions! It's a bit of a learning curve but there are very clear, specific instructions on both the heat settings and steps for use in the app once it's connected to your hat press. Also, the "head mold" should be handle side down so it properly fits the hat. It's also important to flip the inside liner aka sweat band down and out so its not in-between the mold and the hat! You then tighten the hat so its snug on the mold, and the handle on the bottom then can be used to adjust as needed. Again the app is super helpful and user friendly and makes the whole process easy to follow! Hope this helps!
Bethany, you have to activate the heat press via the app, Cricut Heat, before initial use. Watching your video, I thought I had better check mine, as I hadn’t used mine. I had the same problem. Manual explains. I enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Very fun! Our kids had hamsters & all the accessories, even a track with a car the hamster could wheel around! Don’t forget your apostrophe in “let’s!” 😊❤️
Amazing finds - I can wait to see all the other wonderful crafts you’ll be making. I realized that I watched this video weeks ago and forgot to comment. I am grateful for you sharing all these neat little crafting ideas. Continue to be blessed and enjoy all that God has for you. ❤🫧❤
I’ve been watching your videos on and off for a little while and this is the first time I’ve felt compelled to comment. Thank you so much for leaving in the struggle with the transfer tape on the beaded sign. Not only did I love the sign itself but it game be so much reassurance to see that such a veteran crafter has issues with applying vinyl sometimes. I’ve felt so discouraged by that process that my Cricut is just growing dust! I really appreciate you for sharing all the many ways you succeed in creating beautiful things.
Love your channel!!! I have that hat press it seam that they changed all of that to the Cricut Heat which is an app you can download on your phone. Then you send setting to the heat press, Also just like the mini it intended to move & your hat form has the handle so you have something to hold on too while you where pressing. I am sure you figure this all out but I hope this helps! Looking forward to craft room updates!
Unless you use Debbie's DIY, Annie Slone's, or the like, I think you might find that Waverly is the best inexpensive, over the counter, chalk paint you can get. It is made by Plaid specifically for Walmart. It disappeared for a while and replaced by Holly Hobby, the brand made by Walmart, but it was not well received. Waverly paint ended up on ebay for 20 - 30 dollars a jar. It is just recently back. Also, just an idea, if you wipe the top of your jar of paint and apply a bit of Vasaline or a piece of plastic wrap over it before putting the lid on, you will be able to get the lid off a little easier the next time.
Just a tip for applying the transfer sheet (and maximize those grid lines): Line up the unexposed side before attaching the exposed inch to your vinyl. :)
Walmart now has their own brand of vinyl and iron on. It’s only like $4 and I have only used the adhesive vinyl so far and i actually prefer it better than oracal…gasp…never thought i would say that. And their transfer tape works very well too. I have to say i was beyond pleasantly surprised
So glad to see you back - Walmart in the past has not had great crafting things - I will have to go there again - I really like the things you found, especially the signs with beaded hangers - loved the sage vinyl - I was looking at Michael’s for that very color - I made a small sign in design space that says, “this kitchen is seasoned with love”, I put a spatula and a whisk on either side and a bit of thyme - at Target they sell utensils in the sage color so that was my reason for wanting that color - the hat press runs from the app. - you might try that before sending it back
Hi Bethany, I really enjoy your videos. You have a great way of explaining things and keeping them concise and simple. I have sort of a tech question. Could you share what equipment you use for shooting your overhead videos? I am looking for something to shoot overhead videos and thought I would ask you first. Thank you for your time.😊
Just a note - that hat press mold form is made with crushed walnut shells. They have been “sanitized”, but I have decided not to use it for people with nut allergies.
Hi Bethany for the hat heat press I had the same issue you have to connect it to the app for it to work once you do that you can either use the app or manual
These were fantastic projects! So many ideas - great job with all the links, it must have taken longer to post the links than to do the video itself! LOL, thank you!!! 🫶
I was just at Walmart yesterday, and I was so impressed with all the new wooden blanks they had. Now I need to go back! I want to make every single thing you made. Except we don’t have a hamster. Lol. Great video!
Great video as usual! For the hat press, I believe you use the new Cricut Heat application on your phone (I’m not sure if you can also do it online) with it to essentially send the heat settings to the device.
@@Bethadilly The app is required for the initial activation. You can't use the manual settings until the initial app connection is made. I did the same thing and thought mine was a dud, too. lol
I love Waverly chalk paint. You may just decide to switch all together. I love the variety of colors they offer and they always come out nice. And yes Walmart does have nice blanks and depending on what Walmart you go to, some Walmarts do offer fabric on bolts so you can purchase by the yard. Also some have a 2yrd pack of just plain white polyester fabric which is great to kind of experiment or practice with when doing infusible ink or sublimation. Their wood blank section makes me think of a small section of like a hobby lobby for blanks. I would have to agree with you however, that it’s not really all that cost effective. I do find hobby lobby to be more cost effective but Walmart is great when you are in a pinch and just need to grab something quick for a blank. But in all I actually think they may be a little more expensive. Also that transfer paper with the red grid lines, Is not my favorite thing. for whatever reason I think the transfer paper with the blue grid lines seem to just work better…for me. I rarely ever use my roll with the red grid lines.I also got the hat press when it first came out and I really love it. But it connects via Bluetooth so you need to do it through the app cricut heat.
What a wonderful video !!! I have that exact same sign the one with the beads and the white in the middle and I decorated it with a Cricut machine, and saying it was one of your older videos and it’s hanging on my craft room door. Loved all your other projects too.
I have that same transfer tape, and it is very STICKY! But you can use it multiple times, and the surface alters the transfer. It's a good transfer tape, but I will admit that I use multiple brands depending on the project! Hope this helps you guys! :)
Happy New Year!! Congrats on your new home.. cannot wait to see your new craft space.. how fun and exciting! Walmart is a hit or miss on prices, but they have a decent selection.. I have found some great deals on roll backs and it worth checking them out from time to time.. For me, Hobby Lobby is the best.. Michael's is second, and Joanns is in last place.. I am looking forward to your 2024 inspiration.. 🎉

Same thing happened to me with mine and I realized that when I removed the wrap on the press I didn’t read it and I missed that I had to set it up through Bluetooth first and then it worked. Thought mine was broken too. 😂
I actually shop at Walmart all the time but they are more prevalent in my area. I do love the Wonder Nation brand for my kids. However, I rarely buy craft supplies from Walmart. I agree that they don't have good craft deals. I usually hit Hobby Lobby sales or buy blanks in bulk in Amazon.
I enjoyed the video and love all your crafts! And I had to chuckle...when my daughter was 10 (she's 40 now!) she was begging for a hamster for her birthday. We reluctantly complied. A few days after we got "Maggie" the hamster, she had 10 BABIES!! Oh my. They looked like little pink jelly beans with legs. So exciting! LOL

Hi there. Loving your channel. I don’t think you sprayed your sign with rubbing alcohol this time, might that be why it didn’t stick too well? Also, with regards to the hat press, maybe you need to wait for the light to stop flashing before you can change the heat settings???
Only use rubbing alcohol on metal, glass or plastic to prep the surface. No need to on wood, it would just make it wet and further create an issue with the vinyl transferring. Hope this helps!
Thanks for all your ideas. Sometimes I would like to checkout your materials, but I tried all the buttons and not able to find the list. Please let me know where I should go.
