What I did to determine bad cells is to charge all the harvested cells into storage voltage (3.7V) and leave it for at least 2 weeks, the longer the better. Then re-check all the cells for voltage. Cells holding lower than 3.7V are separated, then all the rest goes to capacity test. Now, I'm running my garden tool shed power supply out of it. Good video bro. Mabuhay Philippines! Blessings.

yes, that's a good test for self discharging cells and i did that before building my pack. but mostly will hold at 3.7v (in the case of Li ion cells) because it is the nominal voltage and the storage voltage as they call it. it is always better to charge the cell in full then leave for several days to see what cell/s are self discharging and what cells are still good for use.
but that's not the case in this video. the pack is in use for my solar set up and found it draining faster than other cell packs (monitored w/ cell meter) when subjected to loads. and as you can see in the video that bad or weak cells doesn't hold the same voltage as with the good cells even though they are connected in parallel.
Maraming salamat din po sir for appreciating my video and Mabuhay din po kayo! God Bless

Sir @2:47, you said that you found q heater cell after removing cell level fuses. How did it become hot after removing the fuses? Also, i saw the ISDT-BG8S from one of your videos. How do you connect it to 18650 battery pack 3S20P? The model doesbt come with connectors.

yes i found the heater after i have removed the cells fuses. i don't really know what happened but during voltage checking of each cells when i touched the cell it was too hot to handle with ur bare hand. since the cells are used, i suspect that it was internally shorted when heat was applied for removing the cell fuses.

You should foresee some locations to insert fresh cells and just cut fuses to disconnect bad cells….

@@minetatsuya4607 haven't used 32650 but i have lifepo4 pouch cell. its safer to use than Li ion because it doesn't catch fire when accident happen. lifepo4 also has longer cycle life that Li ion, that's why it is better for solar battery storage.
take a look at my test with Lifepo4 pouch cell to see how it performs. th-cam.com/video/eMcBd8GmmPI/w-d-xo.html

well its good that u have that kind of cells. its easier to replace when 1 cell is weak, compared to 18650 Li ion cells (Tesla style pack).
