Great video ! Personally at this time I only own 2 handguns. I'm retired now but I carried a S&W model 66 .357 revolver for about 10 years. It was an awesome weapon, simple to care for and took a licking & kept on ticking. Later my department switched to 9mm handguns, they choose the Beretta 92FS M&, I won't lie, I missed my S&W .357, lots of firepower and easy to handle. Reluctantly I accepted my 92FS, I carried it for the rest of my career and in short order fell in love with it, I just couldn't find any faults in it and it was very easy to handle, it came with 3 15 round clips, so I did my job carrying 46 rounds, including one in the pipe...never jammed or misfired ! Both were awesome weapons. I kept my S&W and just purchased a Beretta 92 FS-C (compact), it s' light and easy to conceal. Beretta has come a long way, and S&W is a high quality weapon as always.
I am happy to see that you are recommending the Beretta PX4 Storm. I purchased the PX4 Storm compact for my first handgun. Over 2 years and 4000+ rounds later, it is still by far my favorite handgun. It still functions and looks as good as the day I purchased it. When I took my concealed carry classes, I used it for all of the training and the qualification. I own other handguns now, but my PX4 Storm is the most enjoyable and heavily used.
I can speak up for the Beretta PX4 Storm. I bought the .40 ($500 two years ago) and I really am impressed with the overall quality, feel, exterior looks, and...this gun's sights are dead on. I shoot very well with this Beretta. In my opinion this gun is a great value and is a great "first gun."
The Springfield Xdm 9mm was my first gun. I have to say I really love it. The safety features are great, holds a lot of rounds, feels good in your hand, extremely easy to breakdown, and when firing the kickback isn't too severe. I denifintely recommend it as your first handgun.
I own a px4 .40 and I love it. the fact the decocker and pin take away safety makes me feel safer along with the drop block. so its Safe but easily taken off of safe for if needed asap. As well as the DA/SA making it easier to put more shots on target quickly.
i am a complete novice and was looking for the best 9mm for home, range and most of all for having fun I've decided on Glock 19 for being a well balanced gun, I know there's no such thing as a perfect gun but Glock seems to have struck a good balance between usability and performance. Thanks for the post your videos are the best.
vgman94 You put an underscore ( _ ) right before and after the area you want _Italicized_. The same can be said for stars ( * ) to make things in *Bold* text. I'm happy to answer your question mate, but a quick Google search would've explained things much faster than I. P.S.: you can combine both to create *_SUPER EMPHASIS!!!_*
I own a Springfield XDm in .40 cal, and though it is not my first handgun it is hands down the best handgun I have ever owned or fired (and I have owned and fired a lot of them). My Springfield survived my mil spec torture test in which I shot 1,000 rounds of FMJ ammo (Winchester 180 grain) through it without a single failure. Then I put it on the ground and ran it over with my truck while it was loaded and chambered. Not only did it not go "BANG", but it did not have a single scratch on it afterwards. It is now my carry pistol, and a trusted companion. For defense I recommend Federal Premium Personal Defense ammunition no matter what you carry, and always stay up to date on your latest local gun laws.
My choices would be G19, M&P9, XD9, CZ-75, 92fs, P226, VP9, SR9, and maybe a PPQ. There are a lot of great general purpose handguns out there. Most of it is personal preference, no need to have a pissing contest in the comments.
The Px4 was my first pistol. Nice gun. Really accurate. Easy to clean. It also comes with replaceable parts that make the grip smaller or bigger for comfort. I'm not sure how much recoil the rotating barrel takes away but a .40 isn't much bang to begin with anyway. I've put about 2100 rounds through it and the action is still crisp when I shoot or just press check it and it's still very accurate. Anyway, Nice video glad to see my px4 made it on the list
Thank you for your recommendation. I was leaning towards the Glock 19, but after seeing the Springfield XD(M), you made me reconsider and do some research. I am now the proud owner of the Springfield XD(M).
I love my px4 storm in 40s&w..great gun...I've been shooting since I was a young boy and the px4 is, in my opinion, a great gun for anyone.....accurate, inexpensive, and simple to maintain....(I have never had a malfunction while shooting...very reliable)
Own a xd9 service model. Love it. Fits my hand better than a glock. Reliable as hell. Have over 2000 rounds through it and not a single malfunction. Shot everything from wwb, federal aluminum to premium ammo like critical defense. Wouldn't trade it for anything
I just wanted to come back and say thanks for this video. I first saw it back in December when considering my first gun. I had never heard of the XDM. This video led me to do some research and go down and rent a XDM. Am now the owner of the exact gun w/kit that you show in the video. Absolutely love it.
Hector Hernandez yea but most of CA has to pay a 10% sales tax. on top of that you have to take a stupid 30 question test to be able to buy a handgun. that test runs about 30$
My first pistol was a CZ75B. I chose 9mm for my first gun because the ammo was cheap and looking at my targets I sure needed a lot of practice. After I got more proficient with my 9mm I rented everything from a .22 Walther to a .50 ae Desert Eagle. It was a lot of fun, and I learned what suited me. I like your choices. Any of those guns are a great starting point. The most important thing for me was not which gun I chose, but spending the time and money going to the range to build my competency.
just bought the Glock 19 and I'm in love with it!!! I deep down know I made the best decision, my wife wants to trade her bodyguard 380 in on a G 19 now lol btw thanks for the video it helped with my purchase
It is awesome that you presented the Springfield XD as a beginner gun! That is exactly what my first handgun IS!! It is indeed a 9mm and I do not have plans to buy another handgun for the time being, but that's because the XD is excellent for what I want it to do. As of right now it is still a range gun, but soon enough will be an EDC.
I have a Ruger SR9c. Its probably one of the best guns I have ever owned. Built like a tank and extremely accurate. The first time I shot it was to qualify. Out of a possible 240, I shot 239. Never a glitch. Great gun.
Other than the Piers Morgan hoplophobe types that move to the US, alot of the Brits who come here, jump feet first into gun collecting. One of my ex-UK buds here has a huge collection of FAL's, Enfields, HiPowers and Webleys. And is the process of getting his paperwork for a full auto Bren. And he still calls us seppos gun crazy!!!! You Brits always can get work here in the US too, just lay that Brit accent down on the HR Lady and bingo you got the job.
Nice video. Hard to argue against any of those. Although I don't actually own any striker fired handguns I tell people that for a gun to leave in the bedside safe for years & have it go bang when you need it to you can't go wrong with a Glock. The G19 I tried was amazingly accurate as well. Just never seemed to get around to buyng one. Seems something more interesting always came up.
Just picked up 2014 Pocket Pistols buyers guide already had the Springfield XD-9 flagged as a possible first gun glad you agree. Learned a lot and I like the extra safety features
All of those handguns are great. But, when I'm asked, I recommend the SIG P365 XL. It fits perfectly in a person's hands who are smaller. If it's not comfortable, you won't shoot it well. It also holds 12 rds and is similar in size to the Glock 43. You can also choose if you want a selector switch(safety) or not. It's my favorite to carry concealed, because it doesn't print when carrying, so others won't even know it's there. But, the main thing, it MUST feel good and controllable in your hands.
David Mazo Hi David I'm an ambidextrous shooter, meaning I shoot with either hand primarily. A great gun for the money is the FNS-9 made by FN Herstal. It's a full size 9mm, weighs only 25 oz's. Easy to shoot, take apart/clean, comes with three 17 round high capacity magazines and a hard case. They have ambidextrous controls so both right handed and left handed shooters can shoot and control the gun with ease. You can pick these up brand new at most gun stores for under $500. I would certainly do research on it as well as video reviews of people who have shot it. Not saying you have to buy this gun if you're looking for a hand gun that's ergonomic for left handed shooters, but for the money it's hard to find a better value. Hickock45 here on TH-cam has a great review on it.
+883elf There are a few guns that are "fully ambi", and some that are adaptable to lefties. Fully ambi include HK P30 and Walther P99 because all controls work with both hands without adjusting the mag releases.. I call these guns "semi ambi". S&W M&P and Beretta PX4 because the mag releases are reversible, but not full time ambi..
Good point MrBulletpoints. I know very little technical details about guns, but I do know bullshit, and the guy who made this video doesn't know anything about guns or strategy or real world self defense.
Glock 23 the best. You can shoot 9mm and 40 sw, the two most common and cheapest semi auto caliber. also has the option to shoot 357 sig that can reach low to mid end 10mm caliber ballistics and 125 grain 357 mag ballistics. All in one glock 23. Just switch barrel. 357 sig can use same mag as 40 sw. However, you would need 9mm mags for 9mm. No other mod needed, just barrel switch.
Yeah I bought this gun SA XDM FDE 9 mm 19 round capacity on pre Black Friday deal .Taken it already a couple of times to the range shoots fantastic. It came with five mags , one holster , one hard mag holder , two soft ones , two extra hand grips and a couple extra front sight replacements the ( bright colored middle thingie ) for $400 . I just found out about it the day before Thanksgiving and went home for a couple hours thought about it then went to buy it thinking such a great deal sell out by Friday . Yep at that location they were all sold out called a few other locations and found it and bought the second to the last one . The last one was bought by a couple guys that saw this great deal looking at guns .
This is a great video. Great guns too. This guy explains stuff in a very simple way unlike some other people on this site. Maybe next time consider doing the video a little closer to the camera. Just so the viewer can get a better look at what you are describing.
Canik TP9v2 + $350 18+1 2 clips, holster, speed loader, lock, Best out of the box, new owner gun,, and best bang for the buck. Very accurate. Love mine.
Springfield XDm 3.8 9mm was my FIRST handgun! I love the 19 round magazines... Ya gotta love a 19 round magazine :-D Any handgun that holds 19+1 is great in my book...
I believe all shooters should start with a 1911 they are hands down the most accurate handguns and the best handguns to shoot with, later you can move down to a polymer framed gun
My PT 111 Taurus is great... Does a great job on concealment... Firing is awesome... Easy to break down and clean too.... It's my errday carry homies!!!!
So you talked about these guns but didn't really give any criterion for making a choice. What are each guns pros and cons? What are pros and cons for pistols?
DON'T GET ME WRONG.........M&P'S ARE HIT AND MISSES WHEN IT COMES TO THE FIRARMS. I HAD ONE WHICH WAS ISSUED TO ME AND IT JAMMED ON ME MANY TIMES. PERSONALLY TAKE IT TO THE RANGE AND SHOOT 2-3OO ROUNDS THROUGH IT AND FIND OUT. HOPEFULLY U WONT GET A BAD ONE LIKE MINE. HOWEVER IF IT JAMS, JUST LEARN ON WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO CLEAR THE JAM..... MUSCLE MEMORY AND TRAINING! PERSONALLY GET A GLOCK OR A SPRINGFIELD..............MORE RELIABLE AND NO JAMS COMPARE TO THE SMITH'S. HAPPY HUNTING!
I also have a full size PX4 40 S&W. CA so 10 rounds/mag. Have shot over 1k rounds and never a miss fire. At least 6 different manufacturers including cheap range ammo. I saw a video where someone ties a PX4 to a rope and tosses it into a muddy river bed. He takes the safety off and proceeds to empty the mag. Sounds reliable to me. My #1 home protection when there are noises in the night.
Revolver isn't exactly the most versatile of guns though. They can be heavy and cumbersome to carry etc... they also don't have similar type of safeties that many first time gun owners might really really enjoy having.
rantanen1 Not any heavier than a pistol loaded with 14-18 rounds of .40 or 9mm. first time shooters don't need versatility, they need a simple uncomplicated weapon they can learn to shoot easily and not have to worry about jams, misfeeds, etc... Some pistols do not have safeties so thats a wash.
Lawrence Spies Then you make sure you get a pistol with safeties, lol? I much prefere Pistols rather than a revolver, not to mention they look nicer imo.
Jeff Wentz Then thats what YOU buy. I am talking about first time gun owners and shooters that have no idea or know very little about either. I have seen so many people struggle with pistols vs revolvers in basic pistol and CHL classes. We allow both types and have them available for people to use but I recommend revolvers to first timers but ultimately its their choice. Much less to go wrong with a revolver and is less complicated to operate. To say the top 3 first firearms should all be pistols is not thinking about the customer needs or abilities correctly. At the very least offer some revolver choices and explain the differences in operation, calibers, and safety. Yes looks are great but if you cant shoot it or its not the right gun for someone then it is the wrong choice. Feel, fit, and comfort in shooting effectively come first. Pick a weapon, that feels good to you, balanced, good grip, does it fit your hand, how comfortable do you feel when shooting it. Which weapon do you shoot the best. Caliber or "looks" should not be the defining factor in your choice of weapons.
Lawrence Spies I totally agree with you, it doesn't get any easier to use or more reliable than a revolver. And cleaning is dead simple. They also have very light concealable revolvers like a Ruger LCR or one of the aluminum alloy J frame S&W's. It's also a great starter gun to learn trigger control. Oh, someone mentioned they don't have a safety, you certainly don't want a new shooter trying to fumble with (or remember) a safety in a high stress situation.
Thanks for the vid... the way you present it makes a noob like me feel less intimidated. Quick, effective and simple... how I imagine a weapon should be.
The reason there so expensive is the tax on firearms in thailand importing them would be just as expensive I got told it was because the gov didn't want poor people having firearms as they feel that they would be more likely to shoot each other how true that is I don't know but I live in thailand about half the year
I'm a really big fan of of Siq Sauer P 320 9MM, 15 Rounds +1 , sweet handgun very accurate as well. Actually getting a new P320 XFIVE LEGION , have fun shooting be safe !!!
+MoonEyes2k wow, I wonder what you'd think about a bass pro shop. thats like a disney land for guns lol. they have fake waterfalls and aquariums and rock climbing lol. i saw one with a bowling alley as well hahahaha
Things to also look for are 1. Does it fit your hand. 2. Are slide release and safety easy to manipulate for YOU. 3. Price don't forget to budget for proper training/practice along with the cost of the firearm.
M&P Shield is the best first gun. Easy to shoot, can be used for carry and home defense as well. Affordable. Just an overall great gun for beginners or advanced shooters.
I generally suggest the SD9VE for customers whose biggest concern is budget. I think what he was going for here was good first guns that will look good and not stick out once the buyer starts to establish a collection. The SD9VE is best described as "functional." It's definitely a good gun, and a great value, but it's not the most fun thing to shoot at the range what with its long and somewhat flimsy trigger pull.
Ammo Man The SD9VE was my first pistol. I got a Crossbreed holster for it and concealed well. Shot over 2,000 rounds with not a single issue. Second pistol I bought was the Ruger LC9 (original version, hammer fire, loaded chamber indicator) and I loved the way it felt while shooting. Much more accurate out of the box than the S&W and slightly better trigger pull. Just yesterday, I picked up a SCCY CPX-2 for dirt cheap. Love the double stacked magazine capacity for a sub compact. Lifetime no questions asked warranty. For $250 brand new, I would say you probably won't find a better product in the price range unless you decide to gamble on a HiPoint.
The SCCY has a lifetime warranty but you'll likely be using that warranty often. It's nit a reliable gun to bet your life on. If you want fairly small and reliable may i suggest the S&W 442/642 as it's S&W best seller in the history of the company for a good reason.
I took your advice and after looking at a few options i purchased the Springfield, I have to say I love almost everything about that gun, my only hang-up is the wight of the gun. This gun is very heavy and not easy to carry even after I purchased a gun belt its very bulky to carry. Knowing what I know now after having it for a year I don't recommend it for a first gun...
my first handgun is gonna be a gold plated desert eagle with a acog sight on it and drum magazine
lmao
😂😂😂😂
Don't forget tiger stripes!
Joke right?
+xGettinxMoneyx of course not
My first gun is a Springfield XD 40 S&W. I got it for $500 after tax, best investment I've ever made. Living in AZ is amazing, no CC permit required.
@Larry Bulthouse rite what is he talking about??
He's talking about the round moron. 40 Smith and Wesson... 😂🙄
/\ Lmao Same for new mexico though love it & feel for people that live in gun restricted states
Take advantage of the state you live in!! Easy for a good citizen to be armed in case anything happens
Dang I want to move to Arizona for this reason... and the weather, kind of... I live in Chicago now, it’s a shit show here.

Mine was the CZ P-07, great price point and even greater weapon. The sights leave something to be desired, but they work.

Sig p2022 is great to compare to your Glock before you buy
My wife and I both love our XD40's. Incredibly accurate, very nice trigger pull, excellent safety features and very good quality.
Nice presentation.
Yup ideal handguns
Please, for the love of God, zoom in on the guns so we can see _what you're taking about_.
How'd you do that? Those italics? I want to know how to do that...
vgman94 You put an underscore ( _ ) right before and after the area you want _Italicized_. The same can be said for stars ( * ) to make things in *Bold* text. I'm happy to answer your question mate, but a quick Google search would've explained things much faster than I.

I own a Springfield XDm in .40 cal, and though it is not my first handgun it is hands down the best handgun I have ever owned or fired (and I have owned and fired a lot of them). Great info! Good to know the guns can take it.

Appreciate the simplicity, identifying concealment options, clip capacity and safety features.
All great pistols. I like the Beretta PX 4 the best, though. I love my Berettas !
I picked up my FIRST gun 2 months ago, i did go with the Springfield XD 40! wow Im very impressed Thanks for the info...
8:40 awesome editing
Brett Kos who care about editing, this is gun shop 🕵🕵
Says the guy with 57,000 less subscribers then he does. Give him some slack he was new at this when he started. And 57k damn that’s nothing to shy at.

VinBadaBing He persuaded me into choosing the XDM as well 👍🏿
The XDs is great as well, especially the 4" barrel. With the longer mag, it's a perfect compromise for range/concealed.
I love my px4 storm in 40s&w..great gun...I've been shooting since I was a young boy and the px4 is, in my opinion, a great gun for anyone.....accurate, inexpensive, and simple to maintain....(I have never had a malfunction while shooting...very reliable)

You should redo this video for 2016, would love to see how you feel about the S&W M&P
+Green Light Shooting ... But why
And glock 43
Well, Chad - 2016 is running out. Just sayin' ...
time for a 2017 video
2018 plz
I just wanted to come back and say thanks for this video. I first saw it back in December when considering my first gun. I had never heard of the XDM. Best first handgun is a good .357 Magnum/.38 Special revolver - a Ruger GP100 or a S&W 686+.
I agree !!!
Just looking at a .38 today
Only if you have enough money to buy a second gun after you learn the basics of that 6-round cowboy pistol, which you will master in about 1 day. :)
@@bruhdamartinasty3636 You favor capacity above all.
I'm very happy with my Springfield XD-9 Service. Just added a Talon grip and PRP drop-in combat trigger!! This pistol is a real sweet shooter.
In Cali. all in 9mm
XD9 $429
G19g3 $499
PX4 $549
C Gonzo seems cali has cheaper prices then F.L for the most part.
Hector Hernandez yea but most of CA has to pay a 10% sales tax. on top of that you have to take a stupid 30 question test to be able to buy a handgun. that test runs about 30$
Update: G19g5 in Illinois: About $675
Dont forget all the fees we pay. Now we pay a fee for ammo
ya fuck these stupid gun laws man..... in California we're pretty much fucked .....
My first pistol was a CZ75B. I chose 9mm for my first gun because the ammo was cheap and looking at my targets I sure needed a lot of practice. What about a gold plated 50 cal Desert Eagle?
The recoil is a bitch. Shoot it 50s style if you don't want a broken nose.
+Abraham Lincon I was kidding, but I'm built for recoil. I don't have a runners body. I have a stand there and beat someone's ass type of body.
+bon vivant that doesnt suit self defence its just a range toy and the recoil fucking sucks
+Black Dragon It was a joke man.
bon vivant yeah i knew i was just giving tips man
I had a Beretta s9000 that had that same safety release and it was actually the reason I sold it when you engage it with it loaded IT FIRES!
just bought the Glock 19 and I'm in love with it!!! I deep down know I made the best decision, my wife wants to trade her bodyguard 380 in on a G 19 now lol btw thanks for the video it helped with my purchase

XD40 is one of my all time favorites since I bought it. Accurate as can be and it never fails me.
Zoom the camera in so we can see MORE of the guns!!!
Bought a westgerman 226 for my first handgun. Would recommend it to anyone. Can't go wrong with this master piece of machinery.
This guy is very knowledgeable, and explains well, thanks for posting . any suggestions for really big hands ?
yes, I would suggest a large magnum condom.
John Doe Not that you would have any use for a large condom.... tiny
a monster condom, for my magnum dong
I have big hands and I like the FNX personally.
ASDFx2 Thank you .
I have a Ruger SR9c. Its probably one of the best guns I have ever owned. Built like a tank and extremely accurate. The first time I shot it was to qualify. Out of a possible 240, I shot 239. Never a glitch. Great gun.
My first gun was Beretta 92FS. You can't go wrong with PX4 Storm either
Im looking to buy my first gun next week...it will be a 92fs
Piano Otoko my first gun is going to be a 92fs inox.
92fs is a great gun. Just a little big for a first timer . That thing is huge
As a fan of resident evil I'd buy a 92FS and turn it into the samurai edge
Finally took your advice and bought a PX4. We're very happy. Thanks.
springfieldd XD sounds already like a fun gun. i mean the XD part in it.
i like how u played it safe brother .....the three best guns suited for the masses right now
I wish i was American just so i could get a collection... shame really... and ironic that i am British and the reason why you guys get guns lol
I wish Brits and Aussies and Canadians would fight and get their rights back.
MrRoboskippy And stop bitching.....
9009cody
Not all us bitch about :P

RoyalWulffDry I thought only born Americans could own a collection.
I've been going back and forth on getting a gun and permit for years. I found this video very informative.
The best first hand gun For women or men Is the Smith & Wesson Mp Shield Subcompact
In 9mm or 40cal.....
Just purchased the Springfield XD-M 9mm
How do you like it
thank you very much. My girlfriend and I are in the market for our first guns. We are getting our CHL. This was a great help.
I’m 19 and carry my xd40 everyday. Love it
no one gives a fuck how old you are lmao
@sourdeez right? being illegal doesn't make you cool lol
Just picked up 2014 Pocket Pistols buyers guide already had the Springfield XD-9 flagged as a possible first gun glad you agree. Learned a lot and I like the extra safety features
Ruger SR9 baby!
Great video man. Can you do a video on handguns for left handed people? and which guns are best suited for lefties?
thanks a million.
Looking forward to seeing it.
Thank you.
Bizzel Snizzelz thank you for your time and help. I will be looking into this gun.
+883elf thanks for your help.

There are a few guns that are "fully ambi", and some that are adaptable to lefties. Fully ambi include HK P30 and Walther P99 because all controls work with both hands without adjusting the mag releases.. I call these guns "semi ambi". S&W M&P and Beretta PX4 because the mag releases are reversible, but not full time ambi..
Excellent, well informed, well rounded, unbiased video. Well done.
The rotating barrel system on the Beretta PX4 Storm is purely to dampen recoil. It has nothing at all to do with "Self cleaning" (!?!).
Good point MrBulletpoints. I know very little technical details about guns, but I do know bullshit, and the guy who made this video doesn't know anything about guns or strategy or real world self defense.
You give good advice. I would hope if my wife or daughter stopped at a gun store they would find someone like you to talk to.
Glock would be my first choice. Reliable and has a lot of sweet mods
Can't go wrong with a Glock. Reliable and one hell of a work horse. Eat's everything up and options to upgrade as you go on your own terms.
As a new firearm enthusiast,I plan on buying a Hi-Point 995TS Carbine and a Beretta Px4 Compact 9mm(Hopefully for CCW if Maryland allows it!). :D
Should have put the Taurus G2C or G3 instead of the beretta much better handgun in my opinion plus very affordable and reliable
Taurus are crap
He put the Glock 19 on his list!!! He also called it a grip and not purchase. He keeps it simple and to the point. This Video rocks on this subject.
Where is the M&P?
BECAUSE THEY ARE CRAP COMPARED TO THESE 3!
@@bigfootswatching9986 crap, really!
Well presented and very informative, as a first time buyer I particularly enjoyed your emphasis on safety. Great work!
If you have the money and it won't break the bank, I will agree with you can't go wrong with a Glock 19. It is one of a few guns that is a guarantee.
rclines001 yeah but there so ugly tho
Yes but u can count on ugly to never let u down.
Just purchased my first handgun a few weeks ago. The Beretta M9! 😎
The only gun I own is my Glock 17.
I'll stick to legendary 1911 ..45ACP as my go to go gun!
Great job reviewing your three top handguns. Thank you.
I own all 3. Glock19 is my fav of them
Man ibought the glock 19 m3 second hand I freaking love it
Canik TP9v2 + $350 18+1 2 clips, holster, speed loader, lock, Best out of the box, new owner gun,, and best bang for the buck. Very accurate. Love mine.
#1) steel 38/357 S&W or Ruger revolver. #2) Mk III Ruger. #3) AFTER MASTERING the first two handguns THEN progress to the combat autopistols.
Takedown is a hassle though and they're too heavy and large for carry.
Shawn Boling It is slightly smaller and lighter - much more amenable for conceal carry, and the rotating barrel results in less recoil.
I got a g17 like 17-18 years ago. Still love it.
Aww why no M&P Shield or 9C :(
BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST UNRELIABLE AND JAMS ALOT!! STICK TO THESE GUNS AND YOU WILL BE FINE MELISSA.
@@bigfootswatching9986 Not really lol
@@bigfootswatching9986 Derringers are reliable and can't jam
WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD WANT A DERRINGER????
Px4 is one of my favorites I’ve been needing one for awhile
I have a Px4 storm. I love it.
A revolver would be a better choice for first time shooter or gun owner IMO. No Smith&Wesson M&P's?
As you can probably guess by my name I'm a huge fan of both the PX4 and XD lines of guns. Couldn't agree more with these choices.
You should've told 'em about the horrawful grip angle on the Glocks.
filoIII I have a gen 3 glock 23i have no problem with the grip
Yes the grip is a deal breaker for many people including myself. I just can’t do it.
@@jamesfoster6036 I just bought that the other day, my first gun.
Thanks for the vid... the way you present it makes a noob like me feel less intimidated. Quick, effective and simple... how I imagine a weapon should be.
First question should be "have you ever shot a gun"?
That Springfield XD-M 9mm looks real nice!
where can i buy my first nuke??????????
bbis.clintonfoundation.org/2016-contribute/donate_now just enter an amount of at least $20M - then wait 3-5 business days for shipping insturctions
Andy Andy bahahahaha
lolllllllllllllllllllllllll.
lol conceal carry nuke.
go to russia.. their nuke law are low
you are a great salesman all 3 guns you make me want to buy great job
Dude, did you just show a $700 price tag for a Glock 19 gen4?? That is nuts...paying anything over $600 is ridiculous and a rip off.
read his comments this was after sandy hook
You should come to thailand glock 19 gen 4 would be 3000 usd lol
Tim Morgan I'm in thailand and your right. Glocks are freaking expansive here omfg. I wonder how much it would be to import one instead.
The reason there so expensive is the tax on firearms in thailand importing them would be just as expensive I got told it was because the gov didn't want poor people having firearms as they feel that they would be more likely to shoot each other how true that is I don't know but I live in thailand about half the year
Dude i live in Jordan believe it or not the Glock 19 cost here US $4250 :'(
Not something you find often at a gun shop; a very nice gun specialist. Thanks!
hey your missing the glock killer m&p2.0🇺🇸
Do you realize this video was made several years before the M&P 2.0 came out?
Alan Ostermann oh yeah I just sow that thanks
M&P 2.0 definitely has not killed the Glock
suldan life haha when you don’t know a thing about guns 😂
I'm a really big fan of of Siq Sauer P 320 9MM, 15 Rounds +1 , sweet handgun very accurate as well. Actually getting a new P320 XFIVE LEGION , have fun shooting be safe !!!
Jeezus. It's a shoe-store for guns.
aint a damn thing wrong with tht lol
+MoonEyes2k You probably are from country, where are no gun shops... Arent you?
Gangster88232 Errrr...no, wrong. But around here, gun-stores don't look like a super-store for shoes.
+MoonEyes2k wow, I wonder what you'd think about a bass pro shop. thats like a disney land for guns lol. they have fake waterfalls and aquariums and rock climbing lol. i saw one with a bowling alley as well hahahaha
MoonEyes2k It looks like GTA gun shops lol
Things to also look for are 1. Does it fit your hand. 2. Are slide release and safety easy to manipulate for YOU. 3. Price don't forget to budget for proper training/practice along with the cost of the firearm.
Pretty sure first time buyers would prefer not to spend $600-$800 for their first handgun.
A Walther PPQ, Sig Sauer P320, Kahr P9 and a Taurus Bodyguard are great options for conceal carry and user friendly
if your first gun isn't a glock g19, you've probably made a mistake. No jams, low recoil, low maintenance. My public service is done.
G43X was the first. G19 was second. Love them both.
M&P Shield is the best first gun. Easy to shoot, can be used for carry and home defense as well. Affordable. Just an overall great gun for beginners or advanced shooters.
I don't think guns in the 500-675 dollar range are first handguns.
A better suggestion would be an SD9VE @ $300.00 for a first handgun.
Canik55 TP-9 another decent choice for ~$300? Comes packed with goodies too.
RENT IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT
My first one was a S&W 686 357 magnum, followed by a S&W 625 in 45 acp, then a colt officer's in 45 acp. Now I have a S&W S&W sd40 ve in 40 s&w
Or, instead of buying a "first handgun", you could just buy the one and only handgun you'll ever need, the CZ-75.
cz-85b was my first. The sp-01 shadow is my current one. Love cz guns
