Minecraft is a sandbox video game developed by Mojang Studios. The game was created by Markus "Notch" Persson in the Java programming language. I think that BlueSky is the better alternative because it looks like twitter,but it is better. For how long is the question,but if that's something there's an actual moderation team and you can customize your feed.

I decided to stick in my own reply here because I think this video hit the far right crowd, so it's kind of just an evergreen response to most of yall.
As I said in the video that you likely didn't watch, Bluesky does *not* have an algorithm, unlike Twitter/X. It's open source and decentralized-- so if you think posts are actually being censored, it's genuinely as simple as looking through the code.
If you're attempting to call blocking people 'censorship,' then I guess the internet has been censored since 1992 by Ed Boon, the creator of the block feature. Sorry that your posts aren't getting any likes. :(
One last thing! If you want to bring up that a handful of far right Twitter/X accounts (such as End Wokeness) have claimed they made one post and were "banned", these people have lied and are still on the platform, just got bored after making some rage bait posts that reached nobody because they-- just like you-- didn't do their research into that Bluesky has no algorithm.

I hope BlueSky culture just doesn’t focus on the discussion of politics at all. I remember using Twitter years ago, and politics just weren’t something I saw on my feed at all, now its unavoidable. I also don’t want it to become a political echo chamber - all sides of the political spectrum should be joining and interacting. I have a bit of a pipe dream that this would result in extreme views being tolerated less, like they are in other political climates and for focusing too much on politics to be seen as just as strange as it is in real life.
Also, zero tolerance for bots. Yes, I know this means BlueSky can’t be where you get your daily news etc from like on Twitter, but that shouldn’t have been how it was in the first place (not to mention no more spam bots).

I think it will inevitably look similar to what twitter feuds looked like, by nature of how we section off into different communities. And the people who drive a lot of the toxicity with regards to politics, political commentators, make a living off of being as inflammatory as possible or showing how much they can make the other side look unhinged. This tends to happen regardless of platform, but what Bluesky will dictate is just how much toxicity we are going to see.
Unless you have people to discuss views in a relatively chill environment and be open about it, a text based platform is rarely going to provide the space to interact and dissect with different views. Especially where everyone is watching and judging.
Bluesky feels like you’re back in the early 2000’s before Drama and politics consumed everything.
My feed has plenty of politics though

@@darealpapajon welp good thing I’m now making a BlueSky account. However I’m stuck with a Threads account and that’s basically Twitter combined with Instagram, but I hardly use Threads as I really don’t want to use it as you can when you get false suspended and you lose both Threads and Instagram.
And don't forget, posts are called skeets and reposts are called reskeets.

So it's nice o know someplace my art ccan reach non-artists, because thats where my disposable income comes

I love Blsky. I use it all the time to post my content without restriction or political BS in my feed. Such a clean app with so many fun features. There’s already half a million users on the app right now and it’s still growing.
I actually downloaded this app yesterday and I think I'm gonna enjoy it. ❤

I usually repost author's book posts for about an hour a day. I noticed they have the Pinned post feature, but do they have a bookmarking feature yet? Do hashtags basically work the same? Or should one focus more on key words?

Thank you for this. I've made the move, but I'm a bit frustrated by the scrolling functionality on my mobile. Is it something I'm doing wrong? Let me explain.
When you're on the Following/For You etc on Twitter, you go onto the TL and it takes you to where you were when you last left off. You then just scroll with new tweets appearing at the top of the screen. You don't miss any tweets.
On 🦋, it takes you to where you were before, but you can't just scroll, you have refresh first. This then takes you right to the very top of the posts for you to read. You then you have to work from top to bottom, working down and not knowing where your previous starting point was and how many posts there are to get there.
Is there any way to make scrolling like Twitter?

It's ironic that people hate Twitter after it moved away from being a leftist echo chamber after Elon bought it.
Sure, users can choose to build their own "echo chambers", but the purpose of social media, IMHO, is to follow people you want to hear from and only hear from them unless you choose to allow a more unfiltered feed. On X, if I only follow writers, family, friends, etc, then why must I sift through right wing propaganda regardless of who I block and how I setup my preferences? We used to use forums to discuss certain topics and only those topics within that specific board.

The people preaching “bsky is an echo chamber” seem to not understand that most people don’t want to endlessly argue and debate with trolls who don’t actually do it to have a meaningful conversation, but to waste people’s time.
