  • In this video I’m going to show you how to make your old tired concrete porch look like fresh brand new concrete with a product called NewCrete by Rapid Set Cement. I’m also going to show you how to personalize your next big project with some concrete art using the NewCrete. Hope you like it!

    Instructions for printing large banners:
    I only know how to do this with Adobe Acrobat. You can print a large format document, such as a poster or banner, by splitting the page across multiple sheets of paper (called “tiling”). The tiling option calculates how many sheets of paper are needed. You can adjust the size of the original to best fit the paper and specify how much each “tile” overlaps. You can then piece together the tiles.
    You can also scale up a standard-sized document and print it on multiple pages.
    1.Choose File, Print.
    2.Click Poster.
    3.(Optional) Set any of these options, referring to the Preview image to check the output results:
    4.Print once you're happy with the scale.

    Shares his love for the dust shroud and then follows with a video shot of the dust cloud around the grinder …priceless 😆

    • @afbigfish1
      @afbigfish1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dust shroud works well with the proper dust extractor and large flat surfaces "like the top of the slab" when the dust shroud is wider or hanging past an edge such as doing the vertical edge that is likely 3.5" and the Dust shroud is over 5" dust will escape but I will guarantee you its a fraction compared to without it. Without a dust shroud it would probably be hard to even see him. Silica dust is very bad for you, do not work with it without the proper safety gear. This is coming from a guy that never wears safety glasses but silica dust is nasty. Dust extractor and shroud is a must or do it wet.

    • @jacquelineeastman4841
      @jacquelineeastman4841 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We just tore out previous owners deck over the front steps. To cover it the boards were higher than the door. Makes water go into the house if a bad fast rain. And boards all warped over time. I’m ready to put this skim coat over our thankfully existing cement porch from under the deck.

    • @surlycrosscheck1
      @surlycrosscheck1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jacquelineeastman4841 I just spent 20 straight hours grinding 20+ years of carpet adhesive off my porch. Chipped and broke away all the old loose concrete and repaired everything. Porch is now solid and flat (slight grade away from house of course). All I have left is to put the new coating on. I’m going to try and get it done within the next week of so. If I think of it, I’ll let you know how it goes.

    I used rapid set mortar to build a basin for a rain curtain water feature based on your coffee table video. Great stuff! I did find out that acid stains don’t work with that type of concrete. I ended up using a water based stain which was ok for darker colors but I didn’t get that crazy luminous color you get from acid stain. Any suggestions? I’d like that drip look that you can get from acid stain running down a vertical surface.
