Mike Batt is an underrated musical genius who can turn his hand to every musical genre and deliver it with passion, skill and unsurpassed talent. He has a real skill in writing beautiful melodies and his tasteful use of incorporating almost classical influences into his work make him a very unique songwriter and musician.
He is probably best remembered for the Wombles and their very clever and sometimes beautiful songs but he wisely took ownership of the Wombles and their associated music. Long live Mike Batt and great respect from me

One of the greatest gatherings of superbly talented artists . The Result was stunning. This upgrade in vision and sound is breathtaking. I still have the recordings on tape and every other back up I could muster to preserve a vision and talent of such incredible artists , all of them from the individuals to orchestras to those who recorded it.
What a moment in time this concert was. Treasure it, enjoy it, play it and play it, good for you in these troubled times, What a gift I was given.

      I couldn't agree more!!
Thanks for the comment, my only existing copy was on VHS recorded from TV 30+ years ago. Mike Batt only lives 5mins away from me, so was hoping one day he might comment and be able to source a better original recording. Would love to do a 4K version.
If you don't have one, you should grab a signed HOTS folio from him...they're obscenely reasonably priced.

Thank you so much for doing this. I've only just found this 1080p version today, almost 2 years from the day it was posted, and almost 36 years to the day of this performance. I was there ! Absolutely love it. An amazing performance an amazing soundtrack.

This 'cassette' somehow came into my possession in 1987/88 I always loved it and played it all the time until it just wore away - It was wonderful to hear it again - Thank you for sharing it, Isabelle
