  • T. Colin Campbell, PhD, is author of The China Study and founder of the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. In this talk, he explains why he advocates for a whole food, plant-based diet composed of about 80% carbohydrates, 10% protein, and 10% fat.

    If I understand the good doctor correctly, the way bodybuilders eat, lots of protein shakes of whey and casein in addition to meats, is highly conducive to initiating cancer.

      Yes. Please research the number of world class athletes who are on whole plant vegetarian diets and producing world class/olympic results.

      Yes, as well as heart disease because even the most "lean meat" is still full of more fat than humans need. Notice how many bodybuilders succumb to heart disease, as early as their 40s. And it's not from lifting weights. It's from their diet.

    It is probably more useful to talk about real foods rather than talking about percentages of protein, fat and carb.
