When I first saw the Portofino in Pennsylvania at a dealership, I fell in love and I think money being no object, I'd choose this one among the Ferraris. Love this color too!
Thanks, Tim, the new profile shape is very nice and the original car was received well by a new section of the sports car or quasi GT overlap. I'm sure this car will fit in with that same group of buyers.
@@Kempachy-ev2ol I like the Roma but it absolutely feels less like a Ferrari in terms of exterior design. If you look at the side profile and the lines the Roma has there is almost nothing going on there, the side is pretty much flat, while the Portofino M has a much more aggressive styling and more interesting body lines, the indentation at the bottom of the door and the vent that goes back through half the door namely. The Portofino M is absolutely the more exciting car of the two, more engaging with the ability to become a convertible and opening up to the surroundings and being "closer" to the exhaust. Im driving a hard-top convertible as a daily myself and it's absolutely an incredible experience, having a normal coupe car when you need it and being able to experience this open air sensation when you want it. Personally I dont see any reason to go for the Roma instead of the Portofino and especially the Portofino M, they're priced around the same but the Portofino gives you an all around better experience. If you want a coupe only daily driver and especially grand tourer, which is what the Roma is supposed to be, I feel like the AMG GTS would be the far better choice.

Oh my God, this is the car that's going to create very new Ferrari fans. I believe I've been paying attention to details and from the M styling, it looks like they have invented, or at least innovated on the down force wings by the door sills, almost like a F1 car.
I think the Portofino “M” will go down as a sought after Ferrari in future. The Roma convertible is coming now but the haptic controls ruin it and I think Ferrari will remove haptic controls when the Roma is replaced. I wish there was more comparison to understand the chassis dynamic differences between Roma and Portofino but I suspect the “invisible hand” at Ferrari is not allowing the top guys like Shmee to make these comparisons. I may have to trade in my 720S Spider for one of these as I want a GT car now.
