Types of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) ABCDEF Classification

Summary of the ABCDEF :
A = Augmented (dose dependent)
B = Bizzare (not dose dependent)
C = Chronic (with long-term or prolonged use)
D = Delayed (time lag between use & appearance of side effects e.g. DES)
E = End of usage (after stopping / withdrawal of the drug e.g. Rebound hypertension or Opiod withdrawal)
F = Failure (failure of the drug to do its intended effect e.g. OCP failure --> Unwanted pregnancy)

If type A is dose dependant, who is it fitting into the WHO definition of ADR which says normal dose? Pls clarify my doubt. Thank u Sir

The dose-dependence in type A is within the normal dosage range and therefore it fits under WHO definition.
