bkoz319 You do realize that the earth rotates and orbits around the sun. Different times of the day and year will affect the amount of shade you get. Not only does it provide shade but will protect from the elements. Nice of you to critique his video though.
I still have it and the wind hasnt blown it away. I'm currently in the process of adding a sliding shade system to my deck. Sailrite has a video tutorial for the sliding shade.
ProjectTube do u mind sharing where you were able to pick one up for cheap? We really need to put one on the massive wall of windows that gets full california sun but even the costco pricing is in the thousands....
@@Snail_Nailz my brother actually picked it up on craigslist for that price. He couldnt use it but knew I was looking for one. I just lucked out really.
only thing I saw was building a support rail for a Sunsetter awning. If you're not going to show how to install it, why even make this video? What exactly was the point?
nik X you can but if I remeber right you can only add 10% aluminum otherwise it doesn't cast correctly. recommend joining the backyard metal casting group on facebook
ProjectTube I'm guessing that's probably by weight, since aluminum's molar mass is so much smaller. Do you have any better way of processing old electrical wire besides just stripping off the rubber with some wire strippers?
Good video. Was gifted an awning with soffit mount, but storm door gets in the way. I am going to build a similar mounting panel. Thanks for sharing!
4:00 LOL OFFERS NO SHADE TO THE DECK

Do you still like your SunSetter the wind hasn't blown it away yet thinking about buying one

Once the music started I couldn't stop dancing and missed the video.

do you think you could make aluminum brass in your furnace?
nik X I've done both before
so you could probably alloy them together. I think im going to try it when i get enough scrap copper

Light it on fire
The only thing this showed was you building, if you’re going to put up a video on how to install..... then at least show that part.
The installation is pretty much there and this is the only guy out there who made a video of installing this awning solo
