We were there back in July, we did the walk around the castle grounds and the church. The street you walked down to get to the church, there was a large house on the right just before the church, with a blue plaque outside - we got talking to the owners, the lady owner mentioned that they had moved from the London area and moved to Shropshire a few years back and renovated the property. The blue plaque is memory of the previous owner, a former military officer during WW2 I think, who sacrificed his life in comforting those that were also going to perish onboard a naval ship bombed during the war. We love Bridgnorth/the best chip shop is on the corner by the market. A few doors down is a florist at the front and a Harry Potter themed coffee shop which was so whimsical. Great video !

Wow thank you for this story. It really is a beautiful place and as we have family there we will now be back! We did have the chips from the shop on the corner too, it seems to be pretty famous in its own right :)
We have discussed living there, so it may be an option for our future plans.

Every weekend as a kid spent st bridgenorth train from birmingham to wolverhamton then bus it to bridgenorth at furneces caravan park nothing but great memoriys

Just con up on my feed this is west Midlands not the North not just the north had coal mining. By the yes I do know Bridgnorth it's my mother's home town. Very ignorant to claim its up north
