      From what I know, Hindi is also being pushed on the punjabis on your side, and punjabis view Hindi as a more cultured language then punjabi.
      The main reason punjabi has survived in Indian is because it's linked to the sikh religion, and the holy book is written in punjabi. Otherwise punjabi would have declined long ago.

    I'm so glad somebody brought the growing challenge of stigmatisation of Punjabi. As an overseas Pakistani, I never knew Punjabi was an actual language of Pakistan since I had always been told that Urdu and English are the only languages of Pakistan so I was shocked to see that we are a nation of dozens of languages, each carrying their own baggage of history, culture and traditions. My situation is the same as Junaid bhai except that my parents don't converse with each other in Punjabi (since my mother was born in Sindh). I speak english and Urdu fluently and WISH that was the same case for Punjabi but unfortunately it is not. When I last visited Pakistan in winter of 2021, I was much more informed of my country's ancient history, culture and traditions as compared to 2019. So when I roamed around Packages Mall in Lahore I was shocked to see only English signboards with no Punjabi and Urdu markings. Not even the restaurants and my mother told me to converse in English so I am perceived as "modern and educated". I also couldn't wear shalwar kameez because "we are going to a mall"... as if that changes anything.
    In my school there was this Baloch girl who could speak fluent Balochi, Sindhi and Seraiki on top of English and Urdu. That hit me like a brick and starting thinking that creating a trilingual Pakistani society is no challenge at all if done correctly as children can easily learn 3 languages (native language, Urdu and English) by the time they are young adults.

    • @EldhoseJoseph
      @EldhoseJoseph 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Most of Indians too are trilingual... And a greater majority are bilingual. And this not including urdu even if one knows Hindi.

    • @Raju-gi3gr

      The issue is, we Pakistanis hate everything that is Indian because we associate it with Hinduism. We hate our native languages, our native heroes who actually fought British and other invaders. We would probably burn ourselves if we ever did a DNA test and found out that our blood is native Indian (or Hindu since India=Hindu for us)
      We are a sick kaum and we deserve all the shit happening to us.

    Junaid Akram, a Pakistani TH-camr, embodies motivation and inspiration. He chooses to stay in his homeland, creating engaging content and generating local job opportunities instead of seeking success abroad. By showcasing the richness of Pakistan's culture and empowering his fellow citizens, Junaid sets a powerful example, proving that success can be achieved by leveraging local resources and talents. He is a beacon of hope for aspiring creators and a reminder that making a positive impact starts at home.
