I would love for this be an actual acoustic version... I honestly would love if Thomas Rhett did a full albums of acoustic/stripped versions of his songs
I love everything about this song from the rhythm to the cadence of the words and melody ... that adorable smile Thomas Rhett has didn't hurt either, just to hear this song makes me happy no matter how many times I hear it.
Whole song minus bridge: DMaj7, AMaj7 Bridge: Bm(7), C#m(7), D, E Awesome song, I for one embrace the change in country music. Things always evolve, as they should. The country community hated on Hank Williams when he first hit the scene, like pretty much every change that comes around anywhere. It's now borderline country sacrilege to dislike Hank Sr. Just enjoy the music or change the song if you don't like it. Things change, everything else is still there to enjoy. Great job Thomas, glad this is getting radio play. By the way, I do also believe that you should know the history of anything you want to be part of. That being said, definitely listen to traditional country as well including George Jones, George Strait, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Glen Campbell, etc. Don't get caught up in the hate. It's all there to enjoy.
Completely agree -- I saw this video before I heard the single and fell in love. The tempo is too fast on the album and like you said it's just overproduced. I wish we could buy an acoustic single like this one!
Trey Davis The studio version of this fucking rocks....for the most part...a little too much pop in a couple of parts.....but otherwise the studio version of this is fucking great......so you Gomers are full of shit.
I get to see him on friday (toby keith concert) and Im like "Ive never heard of him..." so i looked him up and now im like "Oh My God... Hes very, attractive. His singing and his looks(:
For those of you wanting to know the chords. I think Thomas Rhett plays about everything tuned a half step down when he does acoustic performances. So after you do that its simple. Middle finger 1st first fret 4th string down. Pinky finger 5th string 2nd fret. Ring finger 3rd string 1st fret. Should look like a D chord but backwards Haha. That's the second chord the first one is that same formation but you slide your hand to the fifth fret and use your pointer finger on the 2nd string 5th fret.
Download it from a youtube to mp3 converter. Go into 'iTunes' right click and hit "get info". Then hit the tab 'options'. Change the start time to 1:30. Click OK. Then click convert to mp3 or create mp3 version. Should be perfect!
I agree this would be an awesome video if they edit the first 30 sec. of it. He sounds just like his daddy! I can't wait until the official cd comes out!
I'm not a huge country fan, but i heard the guitars, and i was surprised how the guitar rhythms and leads have evolved into more complex riffs. Pretty rad! And i favor more music like Dance Gavin Dance with technical guitar riffs and chords, some of my own music is sorta on the edge of country/post-hardcore music as far as the instrumentation, but if anyone has no idea what i'm talking just listen to the guitars from these bands named Dance Gavin Dance, Circa Survive, and Emarosa (Relativity album). I will apologize in advance, because the vocals will be or at least most likely be something you will not like, but hopefully my fellow musicians will hear me out and broaden their horizons. Some of this country music is starting not to sound too country lol instrumentally, of course.
Right I agree with the guy below me. All these country songs on the radio sound horrible and yeah just to pop like, broken down and acoustic is and will always sound the best for 99.99 percent of these songs.
He is so very talented!! Wow!!❤❤🎉❤🎉
Thomas Rhett made me wanna like country music for the first rime in 46 years of life!

Anyone know what the bridge is? Can't tell if I'm not playing it right or if the guitar is tuned different. Sounds maybe a half step down?
What is the finger picking pattern on this?
