    Nice video but the first thing I noticed, as a Brit, is the Cricket bat.

    • @RetroMikado
      @RetroMikado  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right! Good eyes! If you can see it, there's actually a card of the player who owned the bat hanging on the handle, his name was etched into the wood and we tracked down whose it was. There's also a vintage Cricket ball out of shot sitting by the bat. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed it!!

      Haha the help is appreciated, this was shot over a year and a half ago and the problem was remedied quite quickly :)

    @3:29 Were those B&O P7 Pacifics actually in those colors in real life?

    • @RetroMikado
      @RetroMikado  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally have never seen a color photo of one, but I have seen several b&w photos of President Harrison and it does seem to be wearing a scheme like the Lionel one. They often go by historical writings when doing these schemes. I believe only one or two of the P7s wore those colors. So yes, it is accurate! Thanks for watching!

    Great vid but no Diesels...only steam :(

  • @railchief74

    Not bad, the intro is slightly different from ILTTs but not exactly the same. The Norfolk and western j that Brendon has is almost the exact same one that we have at our club down in shelbyville

    • @RetroMikado
      @RetroMikado  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep that was the idea! I wanted to make it more original while still keeping the same vibe. And yes, Brendon has a beautiful Long Stripe 746. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • @ducatifriedrich2910
    @ducatifriedrich2910 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice vid, but for my taste, too much time was spent close up and we didn't really get to see the "layout" ... the track plan, the scenery, etc.

    • @RetroMikado
      @RetroMikado  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the feedback! I would definitely go check out the layout owners' videos for a more in depth overview of their track plans and layouts. I have links to their channels in the description. Gives them some views and you can learn about them from those who know best!
