As a second class citizen of Malaysia, you must have strike a raw nerve on the government there who is trying hard to oppress your opportunity in life and prevent you from reaching your full potential in Malaysia by showing them perseverance and hard work do paid off in Singapore notwithstanding with official racial discrimination back home.
Singaporean always considered Malaysian Chinese as "second class" citizens and I feel that that was not true. In Malaysia, all Chinese enjoy free govt medical services , socso and EPF . The only difference is quota in Universities and 5% discount for buying some properties for Bumi and that doesn't really create any obstacles for Chinese to be successful . However，you can see the top ten tycoons in Malaysia, mostly are Chinese . Major business in Malaysia are still owned by Chinese . I don't think second class citizenship is appropriate . My Singaporean friend once told me Singapore hospitals are not given free, same as the university . So whats the difference ? Singaporean should change their concepts against Malaysian Chinese and many talented Malaysian Chinese like Olivia Lum is anywhere aroundthe world . Do not forget that there are about 8 millions Chinese population in Malaysia now .
