    Symmetry is one of the three defining properties of an equivalence relation, along with reflexivity and transitivity.

      No
      A relation may be symmetrical but not reflexive at all.

    I had one question, though, if you could kindly answer.
    Are Symmetric and Anti-symmetric relations exactly opposite of each other in meaning ?

      No they are not.
      In fact it is possible for a Relation to be both Symmetric as well as Antisymmetric.
      We will discuss in detail in one of our next videos.
