I need help understanding why the IpAdress CIDR is /16 and the subnet is /24.

/16 means 65thousand something IPs which is vpc cidr range and vpc consists of multiple subnets so it needs to distribute some of the IPs to different subnets so subnets has /24 which is 256 IPs.
Hope that makes sense.

before the internet gateway created we got the error right same error I'm getting it after creating internet gateway and assigning it to instance
