With the pity system it takes 1200 gems for 1 copy and 4800 gems for awakening but that's the worst case scenario, usually you would need 2460 or so gems for awakening 1 mythic in special banner on average and less if you get lucky, you would need less than the average 2460 gems if you hatch in festival banners. Currently you should save 1600 gems through shrines and all until October, in October there's Anniversary and on Anniversary every 10th pack or 400 gems you get a guaranteed mythic so you should save for Anniversary in October
