The bass, synth, live band, vocals and stage presence of blackpink hooked people and grab attention for the non-fans after they performed it in coachella. Its a hit!

11:48 when they say "vocal performance" it includes singing and rapping, so they already had the "rap" part.
Also not only 2 can rap, they have 3 rappers: Aheyon, Ruka and Asa.
Now, in some survival shows that YG has made (like YG Treasure Box that resulted in the boy group Treasure) they had at some point individual rap performances, but that is mostly because the number of trainees was bigger so they had more rappers. And also because it was an individual performance. But when they mention a group vocal performance it usually includes both singing and rapping.
In terms of "spoilers" for the songs, it is about perspective. Instead of seeing them as spoilers see them as teasers. When kpop artists release music they actually release teasers before, so it is just like that, tho a bit more in detail.
14:20 technically they have been under that pressure for a long time. Even when creating Blackpink.
The first actually big group that they had is BigBang. Huge success, and even become known as the kings of kpop. Eventually they debuted their biggest girl group up to that moment, 2NE1. Another huge success.
The 2 next boy groups, Winner and Ikon, were following these huge 2 groups, which obviously means there was a lot of pressure.
Then they created Blackpink, following these 4 groups which were a success, but special focus to 2NE1, who were amongst the biggest girl groups in kpop, so even when making BP, that pressure already existed.
It only increased at the time of creating Treasure (another boy group) that would follow the steps of these 5 groups (even more now, that BP had become a huge global group).
So now BabyMonster is following the steps of these 6 groups. But since they are a girl group, special focus for 2 of them: 2NE1 and Blackpink.
This is basiccally what happens when they have been consistent in terms of releasing successful groups. Every new artist they make will be under more and more pressure, because, obviously, noone wants to be the one artist that broke that succession of successful groups.
We can even say, it is a bit unfair for the trainees, all that pressure, but unfortunately, will always happen.
ps: keep in mind there are more successful groups that i didnt mention, but they either they didnt debut under YG or they are not exactly the same style.
For example Epik High, really good, were in YG for a while but didnt debut there, also they are hiphop and not kpop. Other example is AKMU which is a duo composed by brother and sister. the girl at 6:41 is the sister and the guy next to her is the brother.

Loving the content! My vote on your next group outside of YG is definitely Stray Kids! They are from the company JYP. What is unique about Stray Kids is that they are self-produced and have some of the absolute best rappers in Kpop so I think you’ll really enjoy them! They also have a super diverse discography that I think you’ll really like. As the first songs (with MVs) I would recommend checking out God’s Menu, Easy and The View 😊

All of them are from 4th generation. In kpop debut so many groups every year (100+) that people started to separate them into generations, 4th gen are only the groups who debuted in the last 4-5 years.
Blackpink for example is from 3rd gen because they debuted in 2016. some groups from their generations that you could react are:
