Hi @makopalets3493, That’s a great question! Saving for your 2025 family vacation in your bond can be a smart move because it helps reduce your interest costs while you save. However, there are a few things to consider: 1️⃣ Access to Funds: Will you be able to withdraw the money easily when it’s time to pay for your vacation? Some bonds might have restrictions or fees for accessing extra payments. 2️⃣ Discipline: If you save in your bond, make sure you don’t use the money for other expenses-it takes some discipline to leave it untouched. 3️⃣ Savings Account Comparison: If your savings account offers a decent interest rate, compare it to the benefit of saving in your bond. I’d always go with the option that offers higher returns on savings. At the end of the day, both options can work-it just depends on your situation. Let me know what you decide, and enjoy planning your vacation! 🌴😊 Dedicated to your success, Ekow Quagraine Serial Entrepreneur, Property Coach, #1 Legacy Builder
Hi @MbuyiMqele-mn3em, Thank you for your comment! 😊 I understand how these calculations can feel a bit confusing at first. Percy was demonstrating how interest is calculated daily based on the outstanding balance. Here’s a simplified breakdown: 1️⃣ Multiply the balance (R640,000) by the annual interest rate (11.5%) to get the yearly interest. 2️⃣ Divide by 365 to find the daily interest amount. 3️⃣ Multiply by the number of days (31) to get the interest for the month. If you'd like, I can create a step-by-step example to make it clearer. Let me know! 💡 Dedicated to your success, Ekow Quagraine Serial Entrepreneur, Property Coach, #1 Legacy Builder

Hi @tshifhiwamudau6929,Thank you for pointing that out! 😊 If the calculation is correct, that would mean: 1️⃣ Balance: R640,000 2️⃣ Annual Interest Rate: 11.5% 3️⃣ Daily Interest Rate: (11.5% ÷ 365) = 0.000315 4️⃣ Monthly Interest (31 days): R640,000 × 0.000315 × 31 = R6,250.96 It’s great to see how engaged everyone is with these calculations! 💡 Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like clarified. Eish Percy the calculation is confusing. 640 000 balancex11,5x31 days÷365 gives something I don't understand.
oh i also had the same problem. So there by 11.5 you calculate it like this 11.5% . You got it all right just put the 11.5%. i hope you get me
your answer should be R6 250,96
