The quick view after leaving the 3-6-9-10 reminded me that during the collegiate championships there's so much high fiving, even after leaving a split or an open frame. "I may have just lost the match for us, but give me a high five!"

You gotta keep everyone in it, if you let your team get down, even after that, it snowballs and the next thing you know the next 3 frames are open, too. It's all about keeping the energy up and keeping the team up

@@gavinwinkler1147 Agree to disagree… High-fives after a really bad shot, I get supporting your teammates but celebrating a terrible shot can be just as damaging to the psyche and let’s face it, its damn hard to watch as a fan. I’ve bowled completely for years and yes, I love the high five celebrations when I’ve EARNED it. Not given willy, nilly like a participation trophy.
@@TheHouseBowling Same goes for giving knuckles. It says the same thing but doesn’t look like a participation trophy “woo hoo!!! You just threw a terrible shot, let’s celebrate like its an 8 bagger… nope, knuckles or a pat on the shoulder are more honest and still show support of your teammates.

There are some splits that I make at a fairly high percentage, I always go for those because I have more confidence and I rarely miss everything, but if I don't feel confident, like a 7-10, I just take my 1 pin and maybe I get lucky. I've won and lost too many games by 1 or 2 pins to just throw away points.
Seems pretty straightforward to me, the 2-10 is not a high percentage split by any means. You go for it and miss they have to win 3 more games, whereas a split forces them to win 4 (as you said). Surprised this was a hot topic, as I can't personally see the logic in going for it and possibly whiffing. Higher percentage spare...sure, but the 2-10, hard pass.

New member here. Looks like the Discord link is invalid. Also pretty new to bowling and was wondering why there is a ITC and a NCAA champion and they dont seem to cross over. I know the men do not have a NCAA tournament, Any clarification would be appreciated.
Mens don’t hav ncaa and a lot of womens school don’t allow their teams to go ncaa

@@tylerm7408 It's because of Title IX. I think either equal money or equal # of teams have to be spent/created for men and women. I would think it's # of teams, but colleges with Div 1 football/basketball teams probably spend 95% of their money on those sports vs everything else getting the shaft.

The way I see it if you are Wichita St, you are the favorite so you take the half point, no reason to risk giving the underdog the full point. If you were Tulane in that situation, I think you have to go for it, given you are the underdog and down 2-0 at the time!
What colleges would you recommend for someone trying to pursue a career in bowling? Besides the legendary shockers ofc 😂.

Just saying you should live stream a Saturday or Sunday night "Have a drink with Packy" and have a few drinks with fans live while watching past events or QnA, anything entertaining. He has under 1500 subs gets 40-50 views at a time and clears over $300 a live stream juat from viewers contributing towards giveaways. I am sure you have balls, towels, shirts you'd be able to give away or get friends to sign stuff to give away and clear more than he does.

You could really have a great evening for you and viewers and be very productive monetarily. (People really liked the dog treat button, and a few hundred dollars over a couple of weeks just came from donations to give the dog treats🤷🏻♂️❤🐶)
Up two games to nothing I would definitely go for the tie. If my team was down two zip I would try to make it. I do have a friend who tries to make every split he leaves regardless of the situation. He’s still a friend but no longer a teammate.

Is it a rule they have to keep swinging their arm back and forth? I don’t see any PBA men doing that. I don’t do it either.
Not a rule, more a byproduct of focusing on a relaxed armswing. Some coaches want to see it and it becomes part of a process. As you can't really force it if you muscle the ball through, it is a good indicator that your swing was good.
Nope. Its just part of their routine. Only see girls doing it usually though. I do it on the first throw because it helps to see what orientation your shoulders and arm swing is.
I swear to god 95% of women bowl like robots. No unique styles or distinction’s. Same form, same motions, same rpm and all…. Daria Pajak is the anomaly amongst women bowlers.
