  • In this video I have shown a demo project on how to make Home Automation project using Mesh Networking on NodeMCU board.
I have shown demo project in which I'm controlling multiple appliances as well as I'm also monitoring multiple sensor's data using mesh networking.

Hi Techiesms, I'm a Computer Engineer and I haven't coded for about 2 years now. Seeing this project reminds me of my thesis which made me reminisce about the good old days. I'm happy to land on your channel again.
By the way, I would like also to thank you for you are one of the reasons I graduated college. Keep creating content like this and inspire others.

Nice! Thanks so much for this! I’ve been working on setting up a system myself, and this will absolutely make it easier. Right now, if the raspberry pi behind the bookshelf goes down, all the lights pop up as individual ad-hoc access points, which is a pain to control. This would let me eliminate the raspberry pi entirely, dedicating it to another project, AND make things a lot easier for my spouse (whose office it is that with the lights). Thank you.
(Also thanks for including the gas sensor, as for some reason most tutorials leave those out, and I don’t ONLY want to know temp/humidity, but use these as additional smoke detectors in addition to LED control modules. More safety throughout the house, set up to show WHERE smoke is originating if detected.)

I like this approach! You can use one node as an mqtt gateway to have a hybrid solution, which can work without routers/internet, or with when you decide to extend to other interfaces connected via mqtt or such. As a side note, JSON structure contains key-value pairs, not value-key pairs as mentioned in your vid. Other than that, good work, keep it going, try the mqtt gateway, painlessMesh has examples of it. Cheers

Thanks so much for your awesome tutorials. I am glad you've been doing a lot of blank stuff the last year or so. I am having problems with this project getting the Oled to work properly. I've tried several different SSD libraries But having the same problems with all of them. I know my screen is good because I use it with the example sketches. Do you have any suggestions for me? All my libraries are up-to-date. Thank you so much my friend. By the way, the mesh and buttons are working perfectly fine but every time The temp is sent to the main controller the board does a soft reset when the oled plugged in but when I unplug The Oled the rest of the sketch works fine. The Idea is amazing. Your Video sheds a lot of light on the required areas! Keep it up.
I was thinking if you could merge this technique to the Alexa controlled NodeMCU projects in a way that we could avoid having an external server like SINRIC or IFTTT. So the devices communicate directly with each other or create a mesh type hub which gives signals to all other ESPs in the house. Do u get what i am thinking?

Is it possible to have an esp acting like a slave in the mesh and as a sender in the WiFi network? Basically I would like to have a slave esp that receives messages from the mesh network and then send that message to an Mqtt server on the WiFi network.

Well home automation with Internet is fun... Bt ist quiet complicated.... Somee times the response time is slow coz of internet speed... Bt automation with mess is more straight forward... No router needed nd once the mesh is created no need to worry about th Internet speed..
