Owens Valley Vol Biv 2021

There is a lot to say about this trip. I thought about doing a voice over on the whole thing to talk about decisions made and the feeling of the Owens. But really the goal was to just be there, to hear the wind and watch the sunsets. I feel extra grateful for the life I have. Cody and I spoke about doing a similar trip through the valley, and joining the ravens to climb above the Sierra felt even more special than usual. I feel more at home out here than anywhere.

Looked like a lot of fun. What month was this? Always thought about the Owens, but I don't know enough about it yet to test it out. Would be cool to team Vol Biv.

Looks like a fun trip! Im curious about how you launched from the Whites and the Sierra on the same day? When you launched from the Whites in the morning the wind was blowing East but then you launched into West winds in the afternoon. Did it switch during the day or are the localized conditions just that different? Just a curious new XC pilot, appreciate any input!

We didn't watch the same video apparently. The guy launched once on the first day, crossed the valley, had a good night sleep and then launched again the next day on the other side of the valley.
