She plays with confidence and feeling, creating a rewarding musical journey for us. I was happy to be on board. Thank you for a splendid video. At places the music sounds like a muscular Chopin, but it retains its overall identity as Weber.
Around 9:54, can I see some direct relation between this older composer and Alkan's musical style himself? I had to say that while listening to some parts of this sonata I just had to be reminded of the distinct sound of Alkan. Interesting. Just saying that that part sounded a lot like a progression from within Alkan Cello Sonata 1st mvt.
most underrated composer given his due in a very stellar fashion.
So stunning ! An outstanding performance of a great young artist !!!

Richard Yiengst how can it not "retain" Weber's unique identity when it's Chopin who was under Weber's influence
Weber was born in 1786 and died in 1826.
Chopin was born in 1810 and died in 1849.
