    Hi Tom! Had the same exact thing happen with my old Juliet, but I had the added bonus of virtually non existent rings as well. She would never go above 30 pounds when running on the track, but she'd maintain it the whole way, running like a bat out of hell. Did end up fixing the issues and she ran great, but I eventually had to sell her. Miss that engine greatly, even when they've got all the problems in the world those lbsc designs just keep going and going.

      That was the main problem at the end of last season, dad found when he stripped the chassis that the piston packing had worn away and wasn’t touching the sides.

    I think it's tempting fate to fully assemble before testing😮

      I’m not keen on seeing locos partially assembled running, but with this loco there’s not a lot you could leave off to have it running, maybe the cab… hardly worth leaving off for the sake of 4 bolts. lol.

      Getting a lot better thanks, not full strength yet, but building it up again now. Feels really good, so a struggle not to overdo things.
