  • Sam demonstrates/shows how to get started programming the Raspberry Pi using the LabVIEW 2020 Community Edition with a live/practical demo. He then expands this to show off his open-source library of drivers for a range of off-the-shelf sensors/hats so you can connect your Raspberry Pi to the physical world using LabVIEW and the LINX Toolkit.

Thanks a lot for this video!
You're quite well to understand, explain nicely and drive us through a lot of stuff here today. Great job mate and cheers of the help.

Right guys. I spent a whole week trying to get this shit working, finally did it after it kept saying the device couldn't be reached. (can't remember actual error)
Things to check if its not working:
You labview must be version 2020sp1.
Labview install must be 32 bit.
My actual issue: within package manager the linx add on has two versions.
Do not bother trying to use labview 2014, those forums are outdated. Do not forget to turn on SSH.
It looks like its there and should work, but this drove me nuts.
    Good luck guys

    Good tutorial.
I tried to use the vipm link to install the addons to my Labview Community 2020 but VIPM times out saying unable to open Labview. Even though I see that it automatically opens labview. Any help, please.

Check your VI Server settings in LabVIEW match the settings for VIPM. VI server needs to be enabled.

I liked the content was very informative and beautifully recorded 👏... However... almost unlistenable with soooooo many vocalized pauses ... um ....um....um..... I went outside to smoke a cigarette and came back near the end and the presenter was still at it with a damn "um" every fifth word it seemed. Seriously get a hold of that as it makes it VERY difficult to appreciate your work because of all the nervous vocalized pauses😒
Just pause and say nothing that will make people pay attention to you rather than tune you out.

I'm sorry that you feel that way, I am a very nervous presenter and public speaking does not come easily to me. It is something I have struggled with for my entire life but I enjoy sharing my passion for LabVIEW and technology so I will continue to do so. Unfortunately it is not as simple as just "don't do it".
