I like hearing people speaking their native language. No matter if it is German guy speaking German or Aki speaking Japanese - it is always calming and beautiful.

I am so glad you did a video comparing Matcha. I used to have a beautiful matcha that a friend would bring back on from her trips to visit her in-laws. Her mother in law made her own matcha. I believe she lived on or worked at a tea farm. My friend has since moved there permanently, so no more home made matcha. So I have been using Jade Leaf. I would very much, like to see you do more videos on this subject. Also I like that you spoke both English and your native Japanese. It helps my ear, as I have been trying to learn Japanese. I hope one day to visit your beautiful country.

This is one of the video that I've been really waiting for! I used to buy several Matcha products in Kyoto or Uji when traveling in Japan was available. But I never knew which one is better than others so I just bought ones somewhat seemingly of good quality regardless of price. Now I could try some of the best ones that you recommend in this video! Thanks!
But it looks interesting that price and taste don't go exactly in the same direction:)

I think that may also be because different people may think sweet is bad and bitter is good, taste is mostly subjective and this was just his ranking here. Other people may rank things differently!

Hi Aki, I can't thank you enough for this detailed introduction and review of matcha teas. I've been curious to try out this style of tea drinking for a while but was hesitant to buy a full pack since I don't know what it tastes like and was afraid it might be too bitter for my liking, and I wasn't sure what was the proper way of brewing it so it tastes its best. I'm happy to find out that there are sweeter varieties which I will give a try. Your steps are simple and really helpful. Thank you very much!!

After seeing Matcha Moon matcha in your videos I decided to order some. I was surprised at how smooth it was and how it compared to matcha from well-known companies like Ippodo and Marukyu Koyamaen. I've had matcha from both of these companies and despite trying varieties that were not supposed to be bitter I was still overcome by the flavor of them some days. The Matcha Moon matcha is so much easier to drink. I can see why ranked it so high.

I’ll try the matcha moon one since it’s organic and available to buy online in the states. I have to admit I prefer the milder ones, but I’m not really a matcha drinker. I don’t like when it taste like the sea as some for me has a fishy taste. But good to know about the organic ones and why they may be a bit bitter. I would have tried the sweeter ones but I can’t risk taking in pesticides and fertilizers, as I already had a cancer scare, it is not worth the risk for me. Best
