Hey everybody. Our two biggest concerns in retirment are MONEY & HEALTH... but there other things you will never have to be concerned about again after your retire.

Great video. Made me think of so many feelings I had not thought about for a long time. I worked in the automotive industry for many years and constantly worried that today might be the day I get canned. That is no way to live. I saved my money and fired my employer. Best feeling ever! I went to a different industry and continue to save aggressively. Now I can walk away anytime I want. Retiring at the end of next year. I'll be 63.

I have triplets and missed their high school graduation because I had to travel for work. I’m retired at 58. Do you think I ever hear from the people who made me miss my kids’ graduation?

Another excellent video sir! I am 53 and will retire when I am 57 with a pension and mortage-free home with no other debt. These videos are inspiring and uplifting to me. I enjoy your candid and straightforward approach. Look forward to hearing more especially on health and fitness during retirement.

Hey! buddy, I have been retired since 2006 when I was only 39 years old....;-) I'm loving it every minute. I spend most of my time painting as an artist. It's nice to get up every morning with a cup of coffee and start on a new panting. Keep up the amazing videos handsome man. cheers!

I can’t wait !! I am retiring the first week December 2025!!! The coworkers I work with drain every bit of my energy and enthusiasm so I know your video is 100 percent correct!!

Nice weight training set up in background. You should use this as background more often. Will inspire other retirees to train/exercise/set up home gym. Great job!

You touched on something I think has become more prevalent in the past 10 or so years, and that's the constant fear that layoffs are coming or your company is going to be bought by another company (no matter how big your company already is). Even when companies have their townhalls and declare everything is awesome and wonderful, the next thing you know there's layoffs the next week. And employers are so afraid that it's just immediate layoff with no warning or knowledge transfer, etc. Not just you, but your team, AND your manager disappear, and all the work they were doing rolls up to that manager. Rinse and repeat until people don't realize they're doing the work of entire teams that used to exist. If someone resigns or quits, you're not allowed to replace them...ever. Manager has to take over that responsibility or outsource it to 3-4 people to replace 1 employee. It's just so crazy now!

Sad but every word you said here is true. This downward trend has unfortunately become the norm across many organizations.

It's true. Company loyalty towards employees is not the same as it was in the previous generation. The story I told about working at Westinghouse was a defining moment for me. Thanks for comment.

Regarding your mind being occupied by work stuff. I was the subject matter expert at my previous job and within 6 months of leaving, I have forgotten everything. It was replace with my new job responsibilities. Now that I have retired for a year, I am slowly forgetting my last job but that means I couldn't help even if I wanted to....
With that said, I am taking language classes at a local JC and that challenges the mind... However it creates a 2 days a week on campus and 5 days to do other things (opposite of worklife).....

Another great video, Ronnie! I love your little chuckles when you think about not having to go into work and prescribing to requirements by a company. It makes me happy to see you happy and I think you’ll spread the good news around. That retirement is really a great thing. I’m looking forward to mine hopefully next year.

Very good content, I’ll be retired for 2 years this coming December (2024) l I’m enjoying retirement, l don’t miss work at all, the choices are my mine with what l would like to do for the day, l was in transportation for 24 yrs, don’t miss the traffic, trying to keep the schedule on time, the crazy public, some crazy coworkers, you named many of things l don’t miss in the work environment- in retirement I’m NOT BORED, l have hobbies that l was doing before l retired, ie learning guitar, fishing etc so now l have more time to devote to these things l could go on and on- if l did choose to work again it would only be part time. Thanks Much for covering the 8 things in retirement you’ll never have to worry about

Almost 50 and looking forward to a retirement before 60. Always enjoy your insights and info on retirement. Seems like you were on track for sometime. Curious as to how/what determined your retirement date/age?

I was emotionally ready to retire in my late 50s, but needed a few more years to build up my nest egg. I semi-retired at 62 (going to part time hours - about 3 days a week) to keep my health insurance. Fully retired at 65 when I was elible for Medicare.
