This inspired a sci-fi racer idea of mine who drifts by slipping parts of his vehicle into nearby timelines, allowing him to grind and drift on parts of the ground that isn't there on the current timeline. This lets him follow lines that no-one else can because his line goes through time. He's literally drifting on a time line.
