    I knew about this mistake but I went ahead and published the video anyways.
    I've been told by so many other Emirates Cabin Crew that 90 hours isn't the real average nowadays.
    90 hours per month is an official standard average. 100 hours is the MAXIMUM amount of allowed hours per month per aviation guidelines for every cabin crew.
    Since Emirates lost around 10K of it's employees over the course of the last 3 years, dropping from 27K to 17K crew (these are very much rounded figures), they were forced to squeeze and assign all those hours to the remaining Cabin Crew.
    This is where the average changed and went from 90 hours to 110 hours per month.
    Cabin Crew are overworked and the air is very tense in Emirates at the moment.
    The airline has finally started recruiting again giving a bit of slack to its staff! However the average still remains around 105-110 hours per month.
    Soon you'll learn that, 110 hours per month don't reflect the amount of hours you're actually at work! 110 hours are the working hours you're paid for, there is an abyssal amount of other working hours which you aren't paid for. We'll talk about that on a future episode! Stay tuned ! @WishCasting

      It's always depend by your salary if you earn 5000 usd then you could be happy even if you are working hard, but not sure for just 1500 usd if you happy working so hard.

    I can't seem to be able to reply to a question posted by @Neelu Singh " Do Emirates female crew get sexually abused or touched by seniors or passengers?" :
    Reply:
    It all depends on you.
    There are many crew and passengers that flirt on board. You are the one to allow phone numbers or contact exchange (to meet after the flight).
    If someone pushes himself or herself on you, you can always report it on your cabin crew portal or to the Captain in Command, First Officer or Purser.
    Emirates is safe, I've heard of very few sexual assaults or instances where it got out of control. Just say no and it all should end there.

I'm just curious, does emirates cover health care plan, such vision, medical, dentist and etc. Financial packages such as retirement, profit sharing, 401k plan and etc. I mean, it's all nice that they give a lot of accomodation but damn.. It doesn't look like it has a lot of employee protection.

Gulf arabian has great salary, however no employee protection, they care only about their citiziens.

      Yes as Walid answered you no protection for workers such as could be in Europe, where if you fired you have a kind of compensation by the government so that you could have some salary even if you are unemployed and that's good for the nation since you could spend and keep up the consumptions.

    First of all, Many thanks for the video. So, I am gaining so precious datas about Emirates cabin crew while watching your videos. So, I just want to ask about open day or assessment day and they are organized every six months and my question is, when will be next open day in Dubai? Thank you for answer in advance.

    • @WishCasting
      @WishCasting  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They always post their open days on their career page! There's a link in my videos! Click it and check it out! Probably there isn't any job opportunity now but from time to time they do and you should find out by checking their page on a regular basis!
      Ps: don't apply in Dubai because there is crazy competition. Too many people applying! Last time they did an open day in Dubai, there was a queue that reached the parking area below Emirates metro station. Do an open day, if you can, from another city. Where they speak bad English. That's the best tip we can give you! Hope that helps Mo ! Let us know if you need to clarify anything else

    • @WishCasting
      @WishCasting  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      There are no stupid questions.
      However you have wrong information:
      -Training lasts 2 months
      -Probation lasts 6 months
      Training is where they teach you how to be a cabin crew.
      Probation is like a test period: you're blocked from on days off, taking leave, making mistakes at work, having bad conduct, ecc.
      It's a test period of 6 months where they monitor your performance to correct any eventual mistakes you may make at the beginning.
      Once probation is over, you start your normal cabin crew life and finally can travel on your days off, go home, ask for leave, swap, bid, etc.
      During the 2 month training you're given 4000 AED per month and free accommodation.
      That's more than enough for you to do groceries, have fun and relax. You'll see once you get the job that I'm right 😬☺️

    Are all accommodation provided by Emirates are of good quality..
    Good quality in the sense clean???

    • @WishCasting
      @WishCasting  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All accommodations are clean. However some accommodations might have old air conditioning systems and could stink of mold. Some others might have mold in some corners to your room.
      However Emirates has relocated many of its employees from old buildings in the city center to new ones in the desert. Meaning that new accommodations won't have mold problems anymore (hopefully).
      However the biggest problem is that you won't be in the city center anymore but far away from it, making it harder for you to go out.
      Emirates accommodations are built quickly since they need to accommodate staff moving away from the city center. This means walls get cracks easily, paint crumbles off, if you try to hang some mirror or frame, you could end up tearing the wall by mistake. And windows aren't sealed well so you'll have sand getting in. Other problems are leaks, it happens but less often to get a leak in the building and you need to call maintenance to fix it. Maintenance is often not able to fix it since they don't have sufficient skills sometimes. It's also hard to communicate in English since they don't speak it much.

    So I can’t move out from the crew accommodation unless I’m getting married !! What if I want to live with my family as they live in the same city, not just the same city but in the most prestigious residence in Dubai! In the JBR. Do I have to live in the “crew accommodation” And leave MY HOME!!

    How much do you think an average 2 room apartment or house would be? I am hoping to get a job with emirates and I am married with a daughter

    • @WishCasting
      @WishCasting  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Prices now are super low! Rent can be 45k dirhams in downtown near the burj khalifa for a 1 bed apartment! So cheap!
      Orlando @wishcasting

    • @Ishfaqw731
      @Ishfaqw731 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      WishCasting 45k for downtown next to the burj has made it very tempting! But I'm not married so I assume that is going to be a problem. We can't live by ourselves? Does the allowance from emirates come in one go? Or can you do it on a monthly basis? Also 45k aed for the year right or for the month? Keep up the good work you answered a lot of my questions thank you!

    • @muhammadhabiburrehman1153
      @muhammadhabiburrehman1153 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes there is. I mean you should be at least 21 to apply and should meet the minimum requirements.

    • @linguafrancia
      @linguafrancia 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no age limit if you have 21 years old, but Believe, they prefer to hire people under 30,between 23 and 25 especially. I applied when I was 27 years old and got rejected. Give it a try maybe you will be luckier than me. I heard that they do hire people who are above 30 but it s rare. Good luck

    really hate the 3-4-3 (10-abreast) seating configuration in Economy Class of all Emirates B777-300 ER!!! really becomes too cramped especially on long haul flights!!! I understand the 3-4-3 (10-abreast) in the B777-300 ER gives the airline more revenue!!! at the very least on very long haul flights they can configure the B777-300 ER Economy Class in the standard 3-3-3 (9-abreast) which is Boeing recommended standard Economy Class layout on all B777-300 ER!!!

    • @WishCasting
      @WishCasting  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess it's an economical advantage to go for the 3 4 3 configuration

  • @kartz2010

    OMG... that's very low pay! Only $2660/month? Of course you can't count on the layover pay as you may have to spend it entirely on hotel accommodation which is not cheap at all.

      That’s because most of the lodging accommodations, dry cleaning, per diem are covered. If you think about it, it is a net gross income if you were to pay for your own lodging and food expense.
