I really like the Reliant Tana fighter variant which gives up cargo space for two beds, a bathroom and armor/weapon lockers. Only 1 SCU really stops it from being a good bunker ship. The bubble cockpit of all Reliants is nice for landing on moons and planets because of the unobstructed view of the ground. It's fun for bounties but it definitely hits a wall when going against the small multi-crew ships like the Cutlass and Freelancer.
Love the Reliants myself. Current patch they aren’t really bad. Especially with six Dominance-2 laser scatterguns you can set power to shields and really dish it out (PvE). The Tana is nice because of the beds (currently I can’t find the log out prompt) and the tonload of missiles. But the Kore has the best paint imho and the extra cargo isn’t bad. The Invictus paint is nice too imho. I have melted the Tana and Kore many times but always come back to them. Good taxi as well. I was rammed in a Tana yesterday and it lost one engine ‘ball’. But with low speed setting I managed to get back home, which is good, not all ships can do that bc they can only go in circles when they lose a nacelle. Cheers o7
This was my starter for couple of months, and I still love it. Stv fits in this little ship, but fuel is a problem. Great for grinding local contracts, maybe not the Fastest, but have good acceleration. And this fire power is avesome. I have tana now, buyed in game, and I must test 2x size 4 omniskys + 2 smaller balistics tarantula cannons. In this stetup it have above 1600 dps. Design of Reliant series gives mi vibe of typical Bounty Hunter ship.
the KORE could easily get a kitchen or shoilet and a bed and keep 4 scu of cargo. and im guessing one day its reworked into a modular ship like so many others are planned to be.
I love the look of the B-Wing from Return of the Jedi, and I wanted to like the Reliant, but the whole idea of rotating the front against the back and making the cockpit inaccessible just kills it for me. I really hope that they re-think it at some point and fix the cockpit in place - just have the wing move.
1000% this. If they simply kept the cockpit stay still and let the wings rotate, it would be nearly perfect. And if they added just *two feet* to the height of the cargo section of the Kore, they could double its storage capacity to 12 SCU and make it the "mini-hauler" it was sold as all those years ago.
Yeah, it's really annoying to be stuck in the cockpit when you get soft deathed and you can't rotate back to get access to the back. Nice idea, it's kinda like a Human Kartu-al, but the execution is pretty terrible.
I think they should replace the starter syulen pack with a starter reliant pack. The syulen is way to exotic and strange to be a new player's first ship but a reliant is a pretty useful starter while still being interesting.
That second seat is a copilot seat with access to remote turret on the wings 🪽... at least the starboard side, from what I remember. One of the finest cockpit views ever!
Always wanted to love the kore. But whether my Drake Dragonfly, or Nox fits in the back changes almost every patch... it is so glitchy. (Yes I don't go anywhere without my hoverbikes)
I love this ship, definitely has a great view out of that cockpit. I like the bed in the Tana, and the looks interior wise on the mako and the sen. Great take!
Hello @EvanLease, I did comment on my fav alien / robot in the prev video but I was just reminded of one of my other favorites. E.T, I think it was my first heartbreak moment in watching a movie when I was a boy. The scene where E.T says goodbye to Elliot... so sad. Even though I havent watched it in over 30 years I still remember it. All the cool lines that sat in a generation or two.. E.T Phone Home.. Elliot etc..
I have had this ship multiple times because I love the cockpit view. It is a fun ship to fly. I currently don’t own one but when things get more persistent I olan on buying one fore sure again.
Yes. I'd have to agree. Awesome concept. Copilot option at this level is great, too. Just a little bet more cargo, speed, and range would make it op as a starter. I want it just for the hell of it)
If the'd wedge a bunk and a shoilet in there i think more folks might look at the Kore as an entry level ship, that said i love my Tana, it's a great little brawler/runabout with the comforts of home, and if you don't care about the loss of cargo space, is a nice alternative to the ubiquitous Avenger Titan. Hopefully now that the have the bugs with the wing rotation sorted they'll start offering the Kore as a starter package again.
It used to come in a game pack, but it got removed because the Reliant was so horribly buggy for so long that CIG ended up giving you a loaner Titan for them.
Yeah the Tana is the best variant. It looks cool, flies well, has good firepower for it's size, and modest living space instead of the cargo, making it generally more useful.
i’ve got the tana, they need to make the engines actually omnidirectional bc they just stay locked forward or up depending on VTOL. she’s a great ship 🖤🥰
Literally just CCU from the titan to this. I've had it and the tana a few times and keep coming back to them. I don't need the titans greatness as I have a fleet and prefer to have ships I love aesthetically and the Reliant Series does just that. I may look into the Science version when it's next available just to have a science pathway available from the get go.
I always liked the Reliant. It has the most _Star Wars_ feel of any ship in the game to me. But it needs some love. Either more maneuverable, or faster, or more armor, or _something_ to make it relevant.
I owned this ship for a few years ago but rarely use it. I typically use the c1 spirit or the titan instead. I'm actually planning on getting rid of it soon to upgrade to something else.
The Reliants are really cool ships. The Kore is cool. Personally, I like the Tana. My wife's a photographer, so she's got a Tana to Mako CCU sitting in her hangar to apply when the Mako is fully operational.
until I get the exploration pack in september I gonna tie the store cred up in assets so I thought i'd tie it up in a reliant (i'm a homeworld fan so it's flying design is a plus) I havent been in one of these since a friend I had yrs ago had one in 2.5-2.8 ish when it was early days, I'm not a fan of the current skin I liked the yellow variant but for now I'm gonna buy a timberline too I wanted something simple for cargo i was looking for a nomad but I came up short so I figured the reliant would more than be enough and the best part is it's a duo ship which there aren't alot of those they're ether 1 or 3 and higher! so I'm gonna have fun with it till september maybe do some deliveries even some cargo with another play maybe or just stuff my pulse in there and have some fun, maybe even the Cyclone RN if I can get it to fit!
I suspect when these go to gold standard The reliant series gets catagorized as Mirai. Really curious what these things will be like once they finally get their gold standard pass. They make a very good next step up from a starter ship.
I really like the Reliant line of ships, the Star Wars vibe is cool. I think they are going to have to give all the ships a component pass, similar to what the Freelancer got, with the upcoming patches. It kind of feels like they should hold off on releasing any more new or previously promised ships and focus on bringing the existing ships up to the new standards (more than just components). It feels kind of bad to own some of these older ships and see new stuff be released while your ship is still missing even basic things like door control panels.
The Kore might be a good package all in all as a ship. But it does not fulfill the role it was advertised. 6 SCU is not enough for what was initially described . I didn't pledge for its weaponry but for its cargo capacity. Which I find to be lacking.
Would love to see this ship redesigned to have front entry like the fury (give the tana the blast shields like the missile one) then increase the cargo hold to 18 (3x2x3) move the components to the wings with access panels.
I feel like the Reliant Kore having the tractor is Misc just putting one on to answer Argo's SRV. Now the Reliant can tractor cargo to a Hull series and load it up, and then act as an escort to the final destination. Yes, it isn't as powerful as the SRV's, but you then have two or more Reliant pilots in your fleet doing the job, so they can team up for heavier cargo. It's genius for marketing; you can have a full MISC squadron on a cargo run. Then at the last leg of the journey, the Reliant can haul cargo down to the planet where the Hull C+ can't. And that's not even taking into account the other ships they produce.
The Argo SRV isn't a loader though, its a search and rescue vehicle. The loader would be the newest Argo MPUV-1T with its two tractor beams and its capability to carry one 16 SCU Container.
I like the Tana BUT I quit flying it because it’s a death trap ( or was in 3.22). You can only exit the seat if landing gear was deployed and if you get soft death without landing gear deployed you cannot exit the seat, it will not let you suicide or eject or emergency seat exit you are just stuck there looking around and myst have someone fully destroy the ship to kill you or exit the game.
11:53 if it would work... exiting the pilot/co-pilot seat is still tied to the landing gear, which utterly sucks. Also giving the Kore a Tractor beam? Come on CIG, that one doesn't help with anything at all.
I just can’t get over losing the 2 beds. Tana all the way! Have you ever tested the rotation range of the turrets from the co pilot? I never have. Like do they have to face forward too or can they swing those suckers all the way toward the back?
I got made fun of in chat because I upgraded my Aurora Starter Pack to a Tana but I think it's an okayish choice...I kinda like the Tana and I think the design is rad af ❤ A Titan would be appreciated too though 😢
I'll stick with my Nomad over the Reliant since engineering will be sn issue if you get stuck in soft desth ss you can't exit the cockpit. I do sgree it reminds me of the B-wing.
A weird ship from a CIG that, at the time were directionless, where idea's were just thrown into the pot, and ships often built on daft Star Wars/Alien vibes, which as we've seen, never fairs well. I suppose it was quantity over quality. Quirky, average and easily forgettable, although, looks nice in the Invictus Blue and Gold skin .
I tried this ship out and I got in it, lifted off in the hangar, then my dumb ass closed the landing gear like I always do with my other 27 ships and…. Yeah I blew up when it turned into a damn transformer. Haven’t messed with it since.
@@EvenLease44ya there were some issues with the reliants basically locking you out of cockpit if you bed logged bc the default state of the ship in space was in the vertical position and I believe that locks the cockpit area. in any case, can you please review the Mako and the Sen. the Mako especially because i have a ccu from a mako to a cutlass black and im wondering if I should completely avoid it during my ccu chaining process

Yeah I seriously love the Tana. The 1 scu is perfect for a storage box, when they decide to work.
too bad that giant glass window is a one hit kill vs most medium and up fighters....
Love the Reliants myself. Current patch they aren’t really bad. Especially with six Dominance-2 laser scatterguns you can set power to shields and really dish it out (PvE). If they want to keep the look of the rotated cockpit, just… fix the door so it works in both orientations. Like, it can’t be that hard.
I think they should replace the starter syulen pack with a starter reliant pack. The syulen is way to exotic and strange to be a new player's first ship but a reliant is a pretty useful starter while still being interesting.
I like the Tana the best, because it actually does have 2 beds and weapon racks, but the reliants are so cool!
i love using the Reliant to fly low and look at the locations on planet's and moon's ,great cockpit view
That second seat is a copilot seat with access to remote turret on the wings 🪽... at least the starboard side, from what I remember. One of the finest cockpit views ever!
I had no idea they switched one of the toshima turrets with a tractor beam, thanks.

i kinda wish it got a slightly taller rear end so it can fit 12 SCU of cargo and fit into the whole "light hauler" its supposed to be
The ship might grow when they do its pass to fit components, but probably not enough for that.
It's an Bountyhunter ship from Freelancer.
By far the best underrated ship.
I think the sen even has an extended fuel tank
Yeah the Tana is the best variant. It looks cool, flies well, has good firepower for it's size, and modest living space instead of the cargo, making it generally more useful.

I don't think I've ever saw an actual player flying any reliant variant, ever.
Same here
I used to fly my tana or c1 as a daily. Great dps, bed and nimble...ish. Mastermodes ruined that
used to daily drive a Tana with a friend back in 3.16. Good times
I use it to tackle MRT ground bounties without even landing.
Understandable since it’s missing stuff that current starters have (gun racks, bed) and has had a buggy past.
I love my Kore... even if the pilot can not stand up in space without lovering the landig gear 😀
I always liked the Reliant. It has the most _Star Wars_ feel of any ship in the game to me. But it needs some love. Either more maneuverable, or faster, or more armor, or _something_ to make it relevant.

Reliant Tana is my favorite ship in entire game. Mostly because of nostalgia from sci-fi movies when I was a kid!
Reliant tana review would be great
until I get the exploration pack in september I gonna tie the store cred up in assets so I thought i'd tie it up in a reliant (i'm a homeworld fan so it's flying design is a plus) I havent been in one of these since a friend I had yrs ago had one in 2.5-2.8 ish when it was early days, I'm not a fan of the current skin I liked the yellow variant but for now I'm gonna buy a timberline too I wanted something simple for cargo i was looking for a nomad but I came up short so I figured the reliant would more than be enough and the best part is it's a duo ship which there aren't alot of those they're ether 1 or 3 and higher! so I'm gonna have fun with it till september maybe do some deliveries even some cargo with another play maybe or just stuff my pulse in there and have some fun, maybe even the Cyclone RN if I can get it to fit!

I like the Tana better. But the problem is: you can't get out of the sit while flying. 😢 Even with landing gears on. Is still bugged
also last time i looked you cant take the tractor beam turret off, i didnt see it in the vehicle manager, but i may have just not seen it.
Any update on if this is still an issue? Tractor beam seems so useless.... another turret on the other hand ;)
Would love to see this ship redesigned to have front entry like the fury (give the tana the blast shields like the missile one) then increase the cargo hold to 18 (3x2x3) move the components to the wings with access panels.
18? Dude, this is a starter ship, no starter ship should outclass any other starter ship.
The Reliant series is one of my absolute favorite ships in the game.
I feel like the Reliant Kore having the tractor is Misc just putting one on to answer Argo's SRV. Now the Reliant can tractor cargo to a Hull series and load it up, and then act as an escort to the final destination.

The Reliant series is pretty sick. i got my eyes on it all the time. But i love the B wing soooooo
Love the tana variant personally
I like the Tana BUT I quit flying it because it’s a death trap ( or was in 3.22). Have they ever come around to fix the bedlog in this thing? Well the Tana variant ^^
its hit or miss, haven't tested it out in 3.23 though.
Seriously regret not getting the Tana during the recent sale.
11:53 if it would work... exiting the pilot/co-pilot seat is still tied to the landing gear, which utterly sucks.
Also giving the Kore a Tractor beam? Come on CIG, that one doesn't help with anything at all.
the only thing I really really don't like about the reliant series, is that you can't go back to the habitable area when it' in verticle mode
Most original design in SC, really like the Reliants.
Haven't played for a bit but I have this ship, I don't recall it having a tractor beam. Is that a change?
I just can’t get over losing the 2 beds. Tana all the way!
Have you ever tested the rotation range of the turrets from the co pilot? I never have. Like do they have to face forward too or can they swing those suckers all the way toward the back?
You were able to go full 360 in the toshima turrets, at certain angles you wouldn't be able to fire all guns though.
I have a reliant sen. It is such fun to fly for some reason i don't understand.
I got made fun of in chat because I upgraded my Aurora Starter Pack to a Tana but I think it's an okayish choice...I kinda like the Tana and I think the design is rad af ❤
A Titan would be appreciated too though 😢
Nice looking ship. I like the flexibility with weapons.
I'll stick with my Nomad over the Reliant since engineering will be sn issue if you get stuck in soft desth ss you can't exit the cockpit. I do sgree it reminds me of the B-wing.
Realy like the cockpit view look clear
which is a better starter cutter or kobe
I would definitely like to enter your drawing

wow, I only have a mustang but this is now my goal,
Cool ship. I might look into this line.
I tried this ship out and I got in it, lifted off in the hangar, then my dumb ass closed the landing gear like I always do with my other 27 ships and…. Yeah I blew up when it turned into a damn transformer. Haven’t messed with it since.
It looks really cool but idk why anyone would use it without a starter pack.
its not omni direction engine when its just facing back or down....good review nonetheless.
This ship is peculiar: it has so many qualities and I see only npcs using it 1😑
Also has one of the best Invictus paint
Always passed over this one but maybe ill take a second look
I like the kore and i guess the cheaper multicrew ship in game . and they remove the starter pack idk why .
The Origin 85x is the cheaper two seater in the game, afaik.
they removed it because the reliant series was busted to no ends.
I try to play with these as much as possible, but its split function with co-pilot make it less attractive.
CIG give us more vertical ship like this pls
I love this ship
No cat 😢😢😢 eheheh
in my opinion, "Kore" rhymes with "moray"
I never see reliants out in the wild. Heck, even NPC reliants.
Yes its buggy past has made it something most people skip on. One day it'll have its light again!
Literally B-Wing
Very cool, but very buggy ship
It definitely needs a gold pass.
Broken so many times..... shame its a fun little ship
People still fly this thing? I expect people flying starter ships for a couple hours and never again.
yup I certainly fly my Tana from time to time. Heck even my Aurora LN.
Worst ship ever
This isn't the Gladiator.
