part of that is how one treats the pack everything from a school bag to a military full gear combat pack I have had the packs stay when and where put ... sure after time the stuffness works out of the material ... THAT is when you reproof your pack and starch those spots back to stiffness ... basic seasonal maintenance

I can appreciate a person wanting to produce things locally, to support local industry, and the willingness to reduce profits to produce goods domestically. Good on you. That's not to take away from goods produced cheaply overseas--there's plenty of quality manufacturing in Asia--but domestic craftsmen need the support of businesses to keep that industrial knowledge and manufacturing capability going right "at home."

Excellent job Mike. I see a number of comments on here regarding price, and it just shows how dependent we've become on Amazon, and Made in China rubbish. A quality, bespoke item is going to be dear, especially if it's made in country, and the fact that it's been designed by an actual bushcrafter, makes it a bargain, as it will work, and last a lifetime. Good Evening from across the pond in Nashville Tn., have just started watching your channel as well as your dads in the last month. As a carpenter and hunter/ fisherman and avid outdoorsman I truly enjoy the DIY’S and the bushcraft building. I have learned a lot from Graeme about different fishing techniques and rigs that we would of never thought to use here in the states for the species we target,Flathead and Blue Catfish as well as Carp. I’ve always wanted to vacation in England on a pheasant or grouse shoot, and since watching your channel I now want to do a fishing vacation there. My Aunt Chris, whom has passed on now, is from Braintree and since I was a child she always peeked my interest in England. By showing me letters and photos from “back home”,as well as introducing me to the BBC programs such as Keeping Up Appearances,Eastenders,Are You Being Served etc. But as an American stuck here during this C-19, I’m able to see the English and Irish country side through your channels. Thank you for all the hard work and videos you both put out,and congratulations on becoming a dad Mike and a Grandad Graeme.

Great vid, great products and made in my own country. The big issue for me therefore will be the pricing of all that kit. As you told us, they are made by small, even tiny 'companies' so I dread to imagine how much each item costs. In fact, I don't even want to know. Someone's comment has already assured me that the pricing is way OTT in comparison to other products. Well done for achieving your dream of branding your own products but they certainly would never be for me. Each to their own and fair play to all who can afford British-made products. I worked for a British manufacturer in the audio industry and I was STUNNED by the pricing of our products. Oh well. Well done again, TA Outdoors man. (Can't see your name advertised anywhere)

If I may make a suggestion for the next batch. A small flap that covers the zippers on the side pockets. Will keep dirt and debris out of the zipper itself and provides water runoff to keep the zipper and stitching dry.

    • @swirlathon2k

The only really minor change I would make is that I would put the flat pouch inside the pack on the other side of the pack - that way if you put a plate, cutting board, grill etc it won’t dig into your back.

Brilliant! You guys have worked up an amazing piece of kit there, I'm really impressed. I do have a few suggestions for improvements, though. 1: Put larger loops on the back corners of those pouches, so that you can attach them to a belt or to a shoulder strap, or even molly style to the outside of the pack. 2: Make the rigid padding for the back detachable, so that it can be used for a dry seat when you get to camp. 3: Make the stool cover much wider, so that large guys like myself can sit down without having our knees up around our ears. Hope this helps.

It reminds me of the Dutch Army daypack.👍

I love the style of the pack but I see 3 things that could be improved. 1 - pocket zipper water protection, 2 - the top cover on the sides goes into a angle that I'm afraid will not protect the inside in the corners close to the back. 3 - I like the aspect of a square backpack that always stays up right, but with the straps in the bottom that will be lost, I would like to have straps on the top too and only as last resource use the bottom ones. I have one question. The pockets on the side have space behind to slide a walking stick, a saw, or something like that?

Really nice day bag 👍 personally would have liked a little more molle on the outer top flap for extra utility, but appreciate it may seem a bit ‘army’ and put people off. Pack pouches - top idea 💡

This is awesome. I have had numerous maxpedition and 3.11 bags which are also very costly. I am sold on this one because for the first time we have one made in the UK. Perfecto and my order is in. Best of luck.

It´s nice, it does have everything i think i would need, only thing is that its a little expensive (not thats its an unfair price) but 159,- or 239 ,- fully loaded is a lot for me personally.
But i sure do love it :)) im hoping it becomes a succes.
    Greetings Denmark.

That is the problem with any and all content creator made products. unless they're willing to start their own business from scratch they do not have the manufacturing marketing or shipping teams in place to effectively keep costs down. many many outdoor TH-camrs have tried to manufacture their own products and run into the same problem.

Congratulations. Seriously well thought out and obviously beautifully made, and for what they are a very reasonable price. My saddle pack will have to last a bit longer until these come back into stock...

Outstanding pack and great design, it has all the features most people will need. Even better that you designed it for your needs. If you're open to suggestion, I have one minor one: add a strap of webbing, maybe the same the front straps, to the bottom of the center "axe sleeve" to create an open bottom pocket. This will increase the overall storage space and allow you to choose between using it as a storage pocket or axe sleeve, whichever you need for that particular trip. Thanks for all your great videos -- keep doing what you're doing.

Love the packs, and would definitely consider getting one if they weren't already sold out lol.
    Perhaps for a version 2.0 theres a few things I personally would consider;
    - I'd look at removable zip on side pouches (u zip style), to allow some access behind to slide down an axe/folding saw etc. I think this would give a bit of extra functionality.
    - A hydration bladder tie off point in the inside of the bag in the small compartment, along with a feeding slot and a clip/tie down point on one of the shoulder straps.
    - some kind of small waist belt just for added comfort.
Great pack mate, hope to get one in the future!

Very well executed design! What I actually appreciate is the light tan interior, especially in the olive pack. That makes seeing items inside the pack so much easier!

Two suggestions that come from military experience: one strap should have a quick release, so helpful when you want to unload at the end of a long day, or if rushed to remove (as in hunting situations); also, the cover should have a zippered pocket for small things that you want to access without opening the bag. Otherwise, super design and fabrication. Congratulations! From Canada.
