I wish the guitars were more pronounced on the re-records of these demos, especially in That's When. Taylor's guitar playing was one of my favourite things back then.
This is way more beautiful than the present one. I think because when she records this, the emotion and experience when she wrote this is still on fire. Nevertheless, bith are amazing.

I had been waiting for someone to make this! Thank you so much! While I agree that her vocals have DEFINITELY improved amazingly I prefer the original production because it encapsulates the vibe of the lyrics much more beautifully.
ok so.. 1. who cut/held back this song from being released on the fearless album ?! 2. kind of dig both versions, teenage me would of loved this rendition but older me appreciates both.
@@jolomrtnz_6408 exactly. folklore. this is fearless, a completely different album, and this production doesn't fit with the rest of the songs that are textbook country
@@blogistuff4383 i have to agree. the production on the original has more peaks and valleys, but the released versions sounds a bit one note consistently through
My favourites are debut, Fearless and Speak Now. I also prefer the stolen version vocals over Taylor's Version vocals. However "You All Over Me" is the exception.
Thank you for uploading this, since the original seems to be taken down whenever someone uploads it. Is it possible for you to upload the original somewhere? I prefer it over the new version.
@The 1989 World Tour Hey! Aaron doesn't deserve the hate. First of all, Taylor and Aaron are good friends. In fact, Aaron said that she made him believe in music again. Second of all, 1989 bonus tracks wouldn't be like a folklore song for sure because 1989 is pop so bonus tracks would have pop productions as well to stay cohesive.
@The 1989 World Tour No kidding. The arrangement of You All Over Me here is more country than the one that got released. I've been a fan of Taylor since Teardrops On My Guitar. I hate that I only like at least 3 songs in Folklore and 3 songs in Evermore. I still like Taylor though, and I'd still buy her next album and the next after that. Idk why some fans can't be objective.
@@marvinsaludes9708 Sure, I just don't like his influence on Tay. Whenever a new Taylor Swift album comes out, I'd gladly listen to it on repeat. But ever since he started working with her, I can only listen to 2 to 3 songs per album. It's obviously not Tay because I've liked her songs since forever.
While i like this instrumental but it doesn't work with her new mature voice and vocals here because the new version sounds so much more sad which i love
Wait… you’re telling me this isn’t an actual leaked demo of the song? It took me reading the comments to realize this is Taylor’s Version pitched up lol
such a shame she removed the "na na na" part. The new version seems so underwhelming. The old one seems more emotional and raw and you can really feel a sense of desperation and a hint of sadness. Im just scared aaron dessner might ruin some other songs. No hate at all. Just concerned lol.
I agree the demo is waves better but I don't think we can blame Aaron alone for this. Taylor co-produced the song and at the end of the day, Taylor isn't being controlled by anyone, Taylor is the main authority for her music. If she wanted to keep it as the original, she 100% could have. She must have decided at some point, that she wanted to change it up.
But tbh I feel like they're gonna try to Folklore/evermore too much of the vault tracks😭, I love Folklore but i don't want to hear Folklore on the speak now vault tracks. Like I want that dramatic and emotional sound that speak now is known for, I guess we'll just wait to see.
i hate how i looked forward when she announced this song cuz i heard the demo back in 2017 but aaron kinda ruined the innocence of this production and i really hate the fact that she lower the key of this song for fearless taylor's version :"< no wonder this is at the bottom in my ranking of fearless, sorry tay it just is.
I really prefer the 2008 production because it’s much more Fearless-esque
Same, and tbh, its just better and more interesting than the one in Taylor's version.
My thoughts on That's When as well. I wish the guitars were more pronounced on TV.
The TV sounds too pop
me too! i wished it sounded like this country-like, not folkish
@@zacuzzi I agree, she should've thrown away the Folklore(Aaron) arrangement on "Fearless" TV
Is it a crime to like this more than the official version?
it is
@@tayaguils sue me then *cry emoji*
Then Im guilty
no
nope! Taylor's voice is better on the re-release version, but the production is better on this.
Am I really the only one here who prefers the new version. This one is great but the new one made me cry.
yea bc new version is morelikely veteran production....
Yes. It sounds more country and she goes deeper on the chorus. Marten makes it a lot better.
I agree with you. Personally I am not a fan of the more country sound on this version that is just me not liking country music in general.
I wish the guitars were more pronounced on the re-records of these demos, especially in That's When. Taylor's guitar playing was one of my favourite things back then.
I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS VERSION BC THIS GIVES AN OLD GOLD FEELING
This is way more beautiful than the present one. I think because when she records this, the emotion and experience when she wrote this is still on fire. Nevertheless, bith are amazing.
The vocal is from Taylor’s Version
I still prefer the newer version, that version made me want to cry & just hits so right
Best song on Fearless. Whoever chose to take it off the original album is out of their mind
I wouldn't say best, but its definitely a top song on the album, should have 100% made, especially with the original production.
Yes it is THE BEST. Periodt.
I thought this is her vocals back then lol it means that she was able to manage to match her young voice so well.
Once the last drop of rain has dried off the pavement
Shouldn't I find a stain, but I never do
The way the tires turn stones, on old county roads
They leave 'em muddy underneath
Reminds me of you
You find graffiti on the walls of old bathroom stalls
You know, you can scratch it right off
It's how it used to be
But like the dollar in your pocket, it's been spent and traded in
You can't change where it's been
Reminds me of me
I lived, and I learned
Had you, got burned
Held out, and held on
God knows, too long
And wasted time, lost tears
Swore that I'd get out of here
But no amount of freedom gets you clean
I've still got you all over me
The best and worst day of June
Was the one that I met you
With your hands in your pockets
And your 'don't you wish you had me' grin
But I did, so I smiled, and I melted like a child
Now every breath of air I breathe reminds me of then
And I lived, and I learned
Had you, got burned
Held out, and held on
God knows, too long
And wasted time, lost tears
Swore that I'd get out of here
But no amount of freedom gets you clean
I've still got you all over me
I lived, and I learned
And found out what it was to turn around
And see, that we
Were never really meant to be
So I lied, and I cried
And I watched a part of myself die
'Cause no amount of freedom gets you clean
I've still got you all over me
I've still got you all over me
Still got you all over me
this sounds more like from a debut than 2008's fearless
it's from 2005
I had been waiting for someone to make this! Thank you so much! While I agree that her vocals have DEFINITELY improved amazingly I prefer the original production because it encapsulates the vibe of the lyrics much more beautifully.
I agree. You can hear the longing in the original version.
the instrumental melody I prefer way more in the original
I love Aaron but this production is better. 😭
Yeah, this song deserved this production. Aaron is a great producer but I think they tried to modify it to much, this production is already perfect.
This combo is gold ⭐️
The production of this version is more better than the TV (still stream TV) but I wish she keep this production, the TV one sounds like Lullaby tbh
I love how she made it way more country sounding on the new one. She really improved it
wdym this demo is more country
One day I'll get out of here and I'll be fine.
i got out i think
im getting out again wtf
helpppp sana real na getting out na
You are like my favorite mashup now! You got both the unreleased version from 2008 with the new version. Bravo! I love it so much.
