There's something about the way you lay out concepts that resonates with me.

@39:48 The Swiss Gambit is called that, because it's a gambit as it were in the Swiss pairing system! You lose the first round (some do this deliberately) because the Swiss pairing system then pairs you against weaker-than-otherwise opponents for perhaps the whole of the rest of the tournament!
It's a 'Swiss Gambit' because it's a tactic to win Swiss format tournaments. Lose or draw early doors and you are virtually guaranteed weaker opponents in subsequent rounds.

I have been watching your videos playing the Jobava, and I have to admit, considering I have been playing a looooot of Caro Kann, Queens gambit stuff, where my dark square bishop often gets stuck on places like b2, or only enters the game later. I have kinda started playing the jobava based on your videos, and man oh man, the crack I get early on in the game is so exciting. Some games I lose really badly and some I win really excitingly. Way more fun. I think with a bit of advanced reading I will get better at understanding what I want to achieve. I am a 2100-2200 player on lichess, both blitz and bullet, and I have never read a chess book in my life. I am looking forward to your book though. I think it will be very helpful for someone like me who barely knows where an annotation is before looking at letters and numbers. I raise a glass of laphroaig to you and your content. No, Kramnik is not vindicated. Someone could be a terrible angler, but if they use enough rods and cast enough lines they will eventually catch a fish. Everybody knows that cheating exists in chess, but exaggerating the extent of the problem and making unsubstantiated and often ridiculous accusations against his fellow players does nothing to help the situation.
