Hooolyyy crap. It took you to simplify the topic to a point where even a complete beginner like me can start to understand that this all ain't as frightening and difficult as it first seems. I was in the dark and overcomplicating the topic, but I have seen the light. You, sir, have helped me! I just need go through those basic rules now myself more and start to get a grasp on them, and pretty soon I'll start spending time making actual music and not fumbling around.
if you want, you can download or buy this course: Udemy - Guitar Secrets Turn Your Brain Into a Chord Encyclopedia by Andrew Mcnaughton the exercises are for guitar but don't let it confuse you, the most valuable info there applies to any instrument, the guy will make you scream A-HA multiple times, this what made me finally understand the theory and play any instrument out there. My gf has musical ed. and i was correcting her when we were discussing chord progressions.
Ive watched hundreds of videos from internet money to streams and busy works beats in the past brother if I was brand new to making music this is EASILY the best tutorial , congrats this video is a gem.
I took music theory this semester in high school and it wasn't very helpful. It was mostly aimed towards written music and not music composition. This video has far better information when it comes to music production/composition, love it and keep up the great work. 👑
This is a great tutorial and breakdown🙏🏽 as someone who uses loops 90% of the time, I’m definitely going to be referencing this a lot, now that I want to start making my own loops😌 thank you!!
Folks. If youre gonna take music seriously, beatmaking, producing, do yourself a favor and stop cutting corners. Learn theory it will help you in the long run when youre in the studio with Real musicians, you will understand what they are talking about instead of staying ignorant and this music language. Its worth your time, if youre gonna be taking this professionally… #justasuggestion
This is awesome, the ghost notes have really got my song sounding great now. So reassuring knowing what notes to use and what not to use. Great stuff man, thank you!
For search the scale Highlighting you have this to in the piano roll. Click on the notes at the top of the piano roll and work with the right mouse click and see what happens in the piano roll.
Music as a whole is weird because it seems like there's a giant hurdle in front of you when really it's a lot of specific words that are in your way fr. Just like how this guy explained it thank you for the brush up frfr W video
Thanks so much my brotha on this tutorial alot of tutorials are to advanced sounding for up and coming producers and new fl studio users this is strait forward as well teaching us like were new i thank you so much and i wish you continued success on whatever you do in life thank you you've been a blessing
Currently learning to better my music instead of just using what I've learned and my ear. I really want to try and get better at cords and melodies, and I Feel like I'm missing some basics. I have a feeling this'll help.
Damn. Whenever someone new to producing gets to the point where theyre deliberately doing things instead of winging it, theyre gonna watch and bug out cause its all gonna *click*
Fukk all of ur sounds so good I think U can just randomly put them 2gether and even like dis it will be still sounds awesome maan U got great sound selection ❤
I get lost in the keys like ik out of key and in key but when i want to go and make a beat i never know what key to be in and just end up making something completely different from what i want
I think I’m gonna personally DM you because a lot of this is helpful a lot of this I’m still understanding but for instance, when you said route note, why was that middle C excuse me middle E, and not the lowest E?
The root note means the note that your scale is starting on. The root note repeats itself every octave so the scale starts on the root note in one octave and ends on the same root note on the next octave. It’s basically the identifier of the scale you are using
Root note is the number 1 and for each note you go up you count up. Once you reach the number 8 when you count up that’s the root note again or the “1” for the next octave.

When working with C# minor, you should have changed to Flats to make sure you are only using one letter between A-G on the musical scale.
That’s true. I was tryna keep it straightforward for those first learning so I kept it in sharps

one of the best theory type videos ive seen for producing good job bro.
Thank you! I appreciate it 💯
is there an app or book that i can learn all this in a easy way?
I don't have the scale thing you used in the beginning
💯💪🏾
how can i get that '' stamp'' at 0:26 i dont have it on mine
If you came out with this video 10 years ago you'd be retired.
12:13 how did he cut the notes like that
What program do you use
FL Studio
where can i get that pain wah sound accent?
what's a pain melody?? tf
ion think any of the videos i watched on how to use fl studios really helped with an actual beginner…
Best way to learn the software is to just try and use it, watching tutorials only supplements it
You look much different from your thumbnail 😂
You’re right 😂😂

How do you count in the scales makes no sense to me
Root note is the number 1 and for each note you go up you count up. Once you reach the number 8 when you count up that’s the root note again or the “1” for the next octave.
Still geroglifich for me can’t understand shit
