I knew Paul's channel from my brother... who stayed in Ottawa, Canada . Then I knew Joyce's channel from Paul's channel. I did watch others channel but I like both of you the most . Both of you are sincere and natural...
Btw l have watched BL movie and like BILKIN because of Joyce .... Before I never watched any Thai movie or listen to any thai songs. I only watched western , Korean and in the past Mandarin movies. 😊

Your guest is lovely and I identify as an American watching from here with learning Thai thru songs. Some of the most beautiful voices and songs I have found from Thailand series has inspired me to move form the states and begin learning the language and listening too to others just being exposed helps me pick up language also. Probably not, Thailand has the same population crisis as South Korea and Japan. If Thailand doesn't solve it internally or externally (more immigrants/expats), they're screwed

'numb to life' also known as 'Growing up'.. when ya don't act like a kid at all new things.. lol its normal... ya get used to being Asia after a while and ya either love it or ya don't and end up leaving it.. re learning the language.. its just a good idea to learn the local language wherever ya move to... its opens alot of doors!

I live in Germany and Switzerland but my background is Türkiye. I did first time in my live contact with different South Korean girls/tourists in Boracay/Phlippine. Before I have never contact with Korean/Japanase/Chinese, I thought they will no contact with foreigner. But since these contacts I can say that South Koreans girls/women are very independent, very open-hearted and fair and very nice. For example, on the second visit to a restaurant she was happy to pay for both of us. Before she ordered different many foods. Respect. I think women from South Korea have a job, earn relatively well and are therefore in favor of real equality. That was my experience. One an other experience was a Japanase women middle age in restaurant and I took place in same table and opposite of she:-) Of course I asked before. We talk al the time together. Their behavior and speech was very traditional Japanese. For me was like in a movie :-) I don't know if she was shy or this is normal behavior.

Did you know that many Western women have been living in Thailand for over one or two decades with their Thai husbands? They still are and live in Thailand happily. All of them can speak Thai very fluently now.
I think she’s probably missing something without learning thai, coz most of thai people can’t speak english fluently. We can understand almost everything the foreigner’s said but we just can’t create english sentences as well.
So if you want to know or understand some thai things , it’s almost impossible to let general thai people on the street explain that clearly in english. And as she is a content creator about thailand ,i think understanding of thai cultures or stories could be useful for her😅

I think 5-10 years ago a lot of Thai guys like western women but then K-pop and k drama and Netflix happened and now it’s all about East Asian looks
In regards to dating, there's a reason it's called "passport bros" and not "passport chicks". Western men come to places like Thailand because the local Thai girls have what the guys are looking for in a relationship. You'd never hear about Western women coming to Thailand to look for a Thai husband. This says a lot about what guys and girls look for in a relationship in general, and how they vastly differ from one another. In general, most guys are drawn to feminine features in a women, such as slim, slender bodies, whereas most women are drawn to status (i.e., wealth or influence) in a guy. This is why it's not uncommon to see old Western men with young, attractive women in places like Thailand and the Philippines. Both have the desired attributes that the other is looking for.

You can see Paul's eyes starting to fade into the abyss once the lady starts talking about dating. He has to take sippy breaks just to maintain sanity.
Thai language is hard to learn with 44 alphabets, 5 vowels, 21 forms, 32 consonant, low-medium-high alphabet grouping and more special pronunciation. Be proud of your language talent here. 😂😊 Many Thai also struggle to pass Thai language class ourselves. Lol😅.

I don't know man. As someone from an older generation who grew up poor but made in life, I would feel very uncomfortable not being able to save and build a nest egg. You both are living close to the bone, as well as all the other content creators in Thailand. It's fun living in the moment now but you guys might regret it in the future. Not advice. Just a comment. I did love living in Bangkok but the air pollution help drove me out.
