For these types of beats, a spinz styled 808 always works perfect
In the piano roll/playlist you can zoom in/out by holding ctrl+scroll wheel, ctrl+right click. Ctrl+scroll wheel click to zoom up and down, and scroll wheel click the change clip size (up and down scroll on the top right under the x) and it will zoom out to default size. Dope beat btw

You might need the low-ends to wrap the melody into reality
Goes crazy bro. I've noticed a lot of people getting that 808 sound you achieve in this when you crank it up, is this just clipping by turning it too hot? i find when i do this it takes over like a lot of my mix instead of just getting that desired clipping sound on the 808

HEY BRO HOW DID U DO THAT REVERSE THING WITH UR 808S?
Duplicate the 808 > click the 808 in the channel rack > (under pre computed effects) click reverse.
Then I like to go to the Envelope tab and bring (Attack all the way down - to the left) Sustain all the way to the right > Release all the way to the left. This will create a very controlled envelope, you will control how long the notes play in the piano roll.
