The funny part about it is that using that exact method has been considered a cheat in 1.8 for years at this point.

There are a lot of people that have been at Marlow’s level and above even while she was using this method, and there were a few players who actually found out how to use this method before her, there are ways to anchor even faster than 15 frames. The problem is that filter keys (which is an external modification) is allowed in tier fights for the sole purpose of only giving Marlow an advantage that she’s used to. But then again, Marlow seems to have no problem with changing rules in tier list for the sake of giving her an advantage (and then still losing).
That’s why there are so many new tier list like Beez for sword I would also be happy to see some other now tier lists owned by like 10 people that have to be democratic

the thing about that method is that you literally need to install a software to get better since u cant do this without the software that is crazy

I been playing for so long (2+ years) this will not kill the crystal comm enderchests will just become meta again ive tried it out i already had anchors that have been lower than 15 frames but now its actualy gone higher ever since plus the only thing that will change is normal drain will have to be the same because i tried to method the crystal speed is way to over powered launching people rather than double popping them its just that sheilds and enderchests are gonna be more reliable I personally would love to see this unfold
it seems like filterkeys only modifies the registry, so it is technically not *required* to perform this method. that being said, i believe allowing these methods sets a dangerous precedent for what is considered "cheating." This goes even further to other 'exclusive' methods like double-clicking, which is an argument extensively talked about in the 1.8 community Also, different operating systems control this behaviour in different ways, so although i don't believe this feature is exactly windows-exclusive, it may still differ from operating system to operating system.
I only looked into this for about 2 minutes, and i dont think that i am not the first one to do so, or that there is not more to look into. whatever it is, i am sure that the tierlist administration has taken these factors into some sort of account, and has made some sort of intelligent decision considering all of these factors.
personally, i dont like this method, especially as it seems to be only viable for crystal pvp. I do not want to switch my keybinds for every mode i play just to play competitively.
There’s gonna probably be so many ppl using their feet to absolutely just mash a second keyboard and just get tier 3. Then of course a lot of high tier players are going to be frustrated with these players even though it was them who had made this method public.

This is party wrong. If somebody uses this method it wont kill the game instantly. Theres still counters like shields and stuff. ou cant blame players improving FULLY on this method.Marlowww is Very fast mechanicly so her getting ht1 is definitely Not just by using this method. It was a biger break to the game when pearl flashes were invented.

lmao i just game back to cpvp after not playing for 1 year to 5 months and ive been so extremely trigged with the randoms just being able to airplace and be way better then me like they would be ht3 1yr-5mths ago if they played with their mechs currently. its really annoying now because all of my past skills are all gone. also now because of this i see people just pearling to me and immediately anchoring on my feet. i literally just pearl away and just try to flat them. another example is evantii being ht1 with this way, same with wraxps being ht2. ive literally quit cpvp after getting ht3 in it and now i am just grinding every other game mode.
double keyboard sucks these lil kids spamming anchors in hole that are under 5 frames and if you try to pearl out you get damage tick and double pop instantly from these crazy anchors and die

Well the thing is about this is that this method is allowed competitively in tier fights so it's not even considered cheating right now which is just gonna kill the gamemode. The gamemode will continue to die as long as they allow this because it's very demotivating to either be forced to get a second keyboard or suffer losing to people who are putting in way less effort.

I quit cpvp imedietly after people realised how to use anchors that fast, its impossible to do it that fast with a mouse, even one of my friends who was a ht3 quit because of this and went to league.
So Sad That CPVP Has Changed So Much Since 2021 I Miss the og cpvp youtubers (frwog we miss you).
Hi Gowthr, the method is not actually that good. You still need mechanics because you need to be able to keybind quickly because otherwise you'll load all your anchors too much and you'll spam place obsidian when you try and hitcrystal. The reason you can anchor in 15 frames is because you already have decent mechanics. People who take a million years to anchor aren't going to be able to do it any faster because they can't keybind as quickly.

hold the auto repeat down press 2 buttons 50 ms apart (almost at the same time) all you need are keybinds that arent dumb and an afternoon to get used to the timing

ok, let me blow your mind, its actually super hard to use antikb, you have to sometimes press down a key in order to properly trigger it (SUPERDUPER HARD MECHANICS INCOMING), and people have known about it for years, NOT JUST MARLOW !!! WOW. Don't even get me started on autototemming !!! Its not actually that good, you only have to press a couple keys to totem normally !!! It would definetely not prevent people from beating them !!!
Well ngl you still going to Learn how to hit crystal with the new method. But anchoring is a whole different story yes But me personally, I'm not gonna learn that meth. It's not worth it at all

this video is an overreaction imo
this method isnt that good for a number of reasons
1. anything the normal method can do is either possible or negligible
2. the faster method is possibly hacking (as filterkeys is an external software and not vanilla) but its VERY hard to control (and slightly faster anchors aren't the end of the world lol)
3. enderchests will kill most players who use it (they keep opening it after leaving the menu. this also disables the method for a little bit during the "recharge time" of the key repeat feature)
4. i dont think the main reason marlow 4-0s most people is mechanics- high tier fights are gamesense and patience based
5. the "top" players haven't really been using this to get ht1 besides marlow (and maybe camcal now)
i do think that the main reason you feel the method's influence is because you play kinda slow
ive fought you before- ur definitely (and a little annoyingly) defensive but you don't brag about winning so nobody should complain
The intention of the title, the thumbnail, and the beginning clip is for views and watch time and to make it more entertaining in general.
and of course I'm going to slightly overplay it, it's a TH-cam video.
However I do know a fair amount of top players who have been keeping this on the down low for a long time, trust me, it's not just Camcal and Marlow.
I just got off a call with one of the main innovators of this method and many other crystal methods that are even more hidden. He agreed that in the right hands this method is completely busted.
Also I don't think you understand, it's not it's the end of the world that the anchors are slightly faster the point I'm getting at is you do not have to be good with anchors now to anchor in 15 frames you just have to be good with timing. It took me quite some time to get my anchors just down to 20 frames, now you can do 15 frames in an evening which mind you is actually only a couple frames off the limit an external macro can do.
Also this method is actually banned in the 1.8 comm.

however, just because you can get fast anchors quickly doesn't make something "busted"

2. OMG, an autoclicker is "possibly hacking", pressing one key for multiple inputs and having two inputs for 1 key on different devices MIGHT be hacking !!! WOW. But watch out, reach is very hard to control as you need to adapt to the new range at which you can hit your enemies, also if you're only using 3.1, its not the end of the world lol.
3. OMG, your so right, I definetely cant toggle on and off my cheats when im using them, marlow is famous for dying to echests !!! especially when people open echests thousands of blocks from the other player (VERY DEADLY)
4. Your right, even if marlow was autototemming, they are still very fast at placing crystals !!!! So they are allowed to cheat because they are very good !!

@@Cbuv I guess faster wasn’t the right word to use but what I mean by faster is crystal speed. The thing is if you can place crystal really fast for example under 15 ms you can play a lot more faster due to them being in the air longer just gives you more time to do things like pearl hit crystal easier. Fighting in holes easier due to you being to more constantly landing more double taps and overall your not limited by ping which are higher then 40. As for disadvantage please tell me cause I don’t know them. And it seems like marlow isn’t quite affected by it as she still is the best player overall.

@@Cbuv timing crystal used to be smth important back in old kb cause you would get flinged but now cause of the new crystal kb it’s a lot less needed cause even if you spam crystals you can still get double taps constantly due to not being flinged and just being near the crystals. But regardless I think nearly everyone can agree timing crystals are good in some scenarios such as Certain situations in drain but I would definitely say crystaling faster is just better for 95 percent of the time. And good players do still get chained it they are also able to be chained. and more so when their opponent can crystal faster then them just timing it. But that’s what I think
I don’t think it will kill the community it will make it more competitive and raise the bar for tiers because it doesn’t matter how fast you can crystal and anchor if you don’t have good game sense your a T5

I have my repeat rate for keyboard really low (it helps with input delay a little) and I noticed if I bind place to a key it makes it as fast as this just without the filter keys so would that be allowed sense it’s a built in windows feature? I don’t use a second keyboard

I disagree. I have constantly found players like this, and usually the only time it's an issue is when its so fast you can even see anchors place. It's easy to counter and crystals will always be better than anchors and if you can use damage ticks efficiently you can easily counter it. if they anchor themselves they take a damage tick and they can be dtapped, if they pop themselves with an anchor you can do it back.
to add onto this, Marlows skill gap is because she spends days analyzing different minecraft mechanics and exercising them for pvp. I should also mention her keybinds are literally perfectly optimized for crystal, perfect movement while doing anything. this is not a carry for her and she does not rely on it.

The title and what not is a dramatization. To say that this method did not assist in Marlow surpassing everyone from a mechanical standpoint would just objectively be a lie. I do believe if this continues to be allowed in tier-list the mechanical skill gap will be non-existent and the average TTK will become very fast which I'm not saying will happen overnight but I think given time, this will happen.
Marlow, Camcal, Evantii, Wraxps, the fact of the matter is, these are the most promising players and all of them are either double binding or keyboarding and to say that it's not an advantage would be criminal.

I don’t think there’s anything more “bs” in crystal than an autoclicker. I’ve spoken to actual innovators of this method from over 2 years ago and they know it’s busted so I don’t think it’s a hot take.

evantii doesnt use the method hes too slow (barely) he anchors in about 10-14 frames which is achievable by normally clicking, if you are naturally fast. Butterfly clicking is also fast, but it is less accurate and you often place too much glowstone and anchors, even if you are experienced.

This is bannable on many 1.8 PvP/bridging servers so id think this should be bannable (1.8 requires skill in my opinion tho might be sunk cost fallacy lol)
1.8 pvp is just about spamming and drag clicking it's annoying 1.9+ pvp is a lot better im not talking about Crystal pvp tho

CrystalPvP was very dead before the release, here is why:
- Natural people were slower
- Natural people got bored
- Macro abusers had the dominance
Now, I agree that it removes skill, however they will eventually get burned out by the next plateu that they shall face very soon. Complaining about it and quitting is the mindset that will inevitably kill the game, and yes, there will always be something to complain about and this might just be a catalyst, but the sky is the limit.

??, I was actually being quite generous. On Windows 10 the default "KeyboardSpeed" is(usually) 30 CPS. You can actually check this value in the registry editor.
