Inverness & Loch Ness absolutely blew us away. This city quickly became one of our favorite places & we HIGHLY encourage anyone to make the trip north to the capital of the Scottish Highlands.
We begin by grabbing some coffee at Velocity Cafe & Bicycle Shop. This cute little cafe is known for having stellar coffee & breakfast items. We stuck to coffee & despite making goofs of ourselves, we loved our stop there!!
From Velocity Cafe, we walked down to Leakey's Book Store. Leakey's has been a staple in Inverness for generations. It's currently the largest second-hand bookstore in Scotland! It's a converted church & gives a spectacular setting for selecting the perfect book.
We then headed over to Victorian Market. This market has been a central hub for Inverness since the 19th century. Our favorite fact about Victorian Market was that all of the shops were locally owned & operated, creating a real sense of community.
From there we made the drive west to explore some of Loch Ness. This loch needs no introduction. Loch Ness has been at the center of folklore for centuries & although we didn't spot Nessie, we got to meet Nessie Hunter & dip our hands in the water!
After Loch Ness we made our way to MacGregors Pub in the heart of Inverness where we met Davey. Davey is a local musician in Inverness & offers a Scotch Highland Whiskey Tasting & Music Experience through Airbnb Experiences. This experience can be found at the below link:
    www.airbnb.co.uk/experiences/...
This was probably one of the coolest experiences we've ever done! Davey has a wealth of knowledge & no shortage of engaging stories. His music was fabulous & we had the most unbelievable time. He really made this day perfect & we can't recommend him enough!
Thank you for tuning into this vlog & kindly subscribe for more European shenanigans!! We appreciate you & want to hear from you so feel free to leave a comment as well. Thanks so much again & see you in a few days!!

Great video of my hometown...and your pronunciation of Drumnadrochit was spot on!

Man, I cannot tell you how much this means to me. I've been SO bad at pronouncing names of the places we've visited. This is a massive win🤣 We can't wait to come back to the area though. We've been to a lot of places, but there really isn't anything like the Highlands. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!

Ken, I CANNOT even begin to describe how jealous we are of you right now! We firmly believe that the best time to visit the UK is in April so you're there at the perfect time. We loved Inverness so much & always talk about trying to get back up there in the next year to visit again. Have the best time in Scotland & thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!!:)

It was absolutely stunning! The Highlands definitely lived up to the hype. It's incredible how different the landscape is from what we're used to. It's really easy to see why so many people flock here now!

@@ProbablyLost is it a tough drive to the highlands? As a city boy who has never driven on hills and mountains, that's a question that's been worrying me a bit.

You're the best, thank you Eric!! It's safe to say we're not exactly whisky people, but we couldn't pass the opportunity up. It may have not been our preferred drinks, but the stories & music made it so worth it!!

Y'all ain't right! just kidding, enjoyed this video along with the other ones you made so far. Single Malt Scotch ain't bad, but nothing compared to good o'le Jack Daniels back home. Looking forward to more videos, also your bloopers at the end are unique!

Some people are just built for the malt whisky and we're definitely not those people🤣 although we will say, we felt like we couldn't go to Scotland & not try to experience this delicacy. If anything, it made us feel a bit closer to our Scottish ancestry!😂

Hey guy! The videos are lovely. This is vlogging of my kind👍👍👍Would rather watch 2 people having a grand time than some boring guy talking about boring things one can do in a new city or a town, putting you off the place completely. So kudos to you folks for just being so enthusiastic- it's rubbing off for sure👍
Had a question too. If I have to drive from either Glasgow to Edinburgh or vice versa, where do I park the car so I can explore the rest of the city on foot? And how much would it set me back by if I may ask?
Also, can I get an idea about the car rental price(manual or automatic, whatever you guys know about) for a coupla days or more?

Hi Raza!!! I'm so glad you found our channel!!! We definitely like to keep things interesting on our vlog days LOL. Our goal in our videos is to mix history with the current local culture, & how we feel when we encounter them. And also the food too🤣 We can't thank you enough for your kind words!!!!
So when it comes to parking in those two cities, we downloaded the apps NCP ParkPass & JustPark. These apps allowed us to reserve a parking spot in the parking lot of our choosing so we never had to worry about getting a spot. We parked in Edinburgh for 7 hours & I believe we paid around 15 pounds so not too terribly expensive. When we were in Glasgow we parked at the Buchanan Street mall parking lot & that wasn't too expensive either. I think it was around 8 pounds for 5 hours? I can't remember exactly for sure what it was though. Either way it still wasn't very expensive.
Our rental car was manual transmission & we rented it from Easirent at the London Stansted airport, so we definitely did a lot of driving🤣 We rented it for around 500 pounds for 35 days so it wasn't very cheap, but looking at prices now, it looks a lot cheaper. I'd recommend looking at an app called Turo. Normally you can find really good deals on there for a rental car. Hopefully all of this helps you!! Thank you so much again for the kind words Raza!!😊
