0:42 According to Corriepedia, this Joan Walker is the mother of Jack Walker, one of the owners of the Rovers Return. She was 87 when she died in 1962. Jack has a daughter named after her.
@@Abby-v1z1g If its Maya who dated Dev, i dont think she died. Despite the car crash. They said she was in the same hospital as Dev and Sunita a few episodes later, yet she survived?
You are thinking of the actor, Pat Phoenix, who died of Lung Cancer in 1986. As KKollective said the character Elsie Tanner died in a car crash in Portugal in a sports car with her last husband Bill Gregory somewhere in 2000s. Having said that a 1987 VHS called 'The Lifes And Loves Of Elsie Tanner' featured new material with Anne Cunningham as Linda Cheveski and Eileen Derbyshire as Emily Bishop during which it was implied that Elsie had already died, albeit a cause of death wasn't mentioned, but this straight-to-video implication of her death is not considered 'canon' given that Dennis' version appeared in an actual broadcast episode.

13:57 The actor who played Alf Roberts, Bryan Mosley, died just over a month later in February 1999.
3:39 Phyllis Roberts was Alf Roberts' first wife, before Renee (married from 1978-80) and Audrey (married from 1985 until his death in 1999).
Ena, annie, hilda and Minnie must be in there mid 100s lol
9:53 RIP William Russell (1924-2024)
