btw just so you know, this was before will actually had a 'band' that he recorded with in studio; this whole album is just him doing everything, which makes it even more impressive!
Also, Today I Laid Down- Bl4ck M4rket C4rt is an album I highly recommend you check out The artist was an incredibly talented 17 y/o who was taken from us way too soon through suicide. The album would be right up your alley with the shoegaze and slacker rock influences that Kai took into consideration while producing the album. Rest in piece Kai Wesener
Beautiful album. I listened to it after Brad taste in music album of year list, before knowing what had happened to Kai. Such a shame but they left us with this beautiful E.P and will be alive always.
I've seen this guy posting their stuff on CSH's subreddit and was like "cool stuff, hope you'll continue" and then he did the thing and I noticed his post like a day before the oficial death date Life is scary sometimes
did we just win can't wait to watch.... recommendations: Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me (amazing ahead of its time 1987 alt/noise rock) Guided By Voices - Bee Thousand (lovely 90's lo-fi) Hella - Hold Your Horse Is (Math Rock with the drummer from Death Grips, before he was in Death Grips) Pavement - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain (Absolutely perfect 90's indie rock album)
Albums I think you have to react to at some point: KNOWER - Knower Forever Ritt Momney - Sunny Boy Porter Robinson - Nurture Jessie Ware - What's Your Pleasure? Madeon - Good Faith Ritt Momney - Her and All of My Friends Jeff Rosenstock - WORRY. Bruno Pernadas - Those Who Throw Objects at the Crocodiles Will Be Asked to Retrieve Them Bomb the Music Industry! - Vacation J Dilla - Donuts The Arrogant Sons of Bitches - Three Cheers for Disappointment The Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I
if you like the electronic stuff definitely check out their most recent album making a door less open but you should know the version on streaming, vinyl, and cd are all different. the biggest difference being straming has two remixes of the song deadlines, which is a mix of edm and rock kinda like what lcd soundsystem does, with each remix separating the rock and edm elements. theres also different track ordering and alternate mixes of a few songs on each version. also this album is from the perspective of wills alter ego, trait. like ziggy stardust to david bowie. lots of csh fans dont like this album as much as the others but theyre actually just dumb and stupid and this album grew on me sooo much sry that was long i love car seat headrest
Album recs: Third Eye Blind - Self-Titled Sun Kil Moon - Ghosts of the Great Highway Parannoul - After the Magic clipping. - Visions of Bodies Being Burned The rest of System of a Down’s discog I shan’t rest my weary head til one of these pops up in my feed 🤵♂️
Very happy to finally see someone react to this particular Car Seat album on youtube :D The next Car Seat album you should listen to should either be Monomania or Nervous Young Man, if you go with Monomania i'd maybe suggest listening to Twin Fantasy 2011 first because the bitterness of Monomania makes more sense after listening to that version since it ends on a more bitter note than the 2018 remake (it follows the aftermath of that same relationship.) If you go with Nervous Young Man my only request is that you listen to 16 minute version of The Gun Song on youtube or bandcamp because the climax of the song had to be changed for streaming services due to it using a Neil Young interpolation D:
A few recs for ya Broadcast - Tender Buttons (awesome minimalist dream pop) Silver Jews - American Water (indie/alt-country vibes with really amazing lyrics) Yo La Tengo - I can hear the heart beating as one (hazy 90s indie rock with a mix of shoegaze and twee influence) John Cale - Paris 1919 (beautiful singer songwriter/baroque pop album from a member of The Velvet Underground) ur awesome man keep up the great vids :)
I screamed when I saw this pop up!! I have been waiting for this for months! Im happy you enjoyed it, and thank for being the first reactor for this one lol If you were to listen to anymore albums, I would love to see you listen to Monomania, its kind of a spiritual successor of Twin Fantasy and even though it's older and therefore probably not as polished as the Twin Fantasy (2018) it's still a huge gem of an album and I definitely recommend it!
I got no shame adding to your overwhelming list of recs, I’m almost certain you’d like: The Arcs - Yours, Dreamily, Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom Todd Rundgren - Something / Anything? And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead - Source Tags and Codes
DUDE this is my favorite csh album i think i recced this sometime ago. also did you know this albuum called six feet beneath the moon by king krule released a year prior
A big recommendation from me is something kinda off the wall. Something in the Jazz Punk genre. The band Midori and the album ‘Aratamemashite Hajimemashite Midori Desu’ obviously a Japanese band and album but the band and the vocalist’s solo stuff is so special. I can als recommend other Japanese records as well, mostly math rock if you’re interested at all in that genre.
Hey Space Cadet is my favorite song of all time! (next to beach life in death) theres something about every single lyric that speaks to me in sucj a personal way, glad you enjoyed this project!
i think that this cements you as like the best reactor i've ever watched. too much peak it's overload The Lamb as Effigy by Sprain when you wish just deliver more peak
The first song of this album “The ending of Dramamine” is in reference to a song by Modest Mouse From their album “This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About” you should check it out. Honestly all of Modest Mouse is Peak.
todays random album recommendation : cloud nothings - attack on memory. More people need to react to this. Produced my Steve Albini who passed away recently which is why i've been re-visiting it.
i have a couple album recommendations so i hope you see them, they're both electronic centered and i think you would like them 1. lali puna - tri decoder 2. mum - yesterday was dramatic, today is ok easily some of the most beautiful and nostalgic electronic albums, kinda fits in a similar realm of aphex twin
Since you’re listening to Flying Lotus albums now, do you think you’ll ever listen to his Duality by Captain Murphy? If you don’t know, Captain Murphy is Flying Lotus’s alter ego. The album not only doesn’t show up in his discography, it also isn’t on streaming services, so you’ll hav to listen on TH-cam.
yo i fucking love this album you should definitely check out Hospice by the Antlers!! a beautifully sad and amazing album. highly recommend :) keep up the good content as always!

Smags I recommend you listen to Two Airships/Exploder falls by Candy Claws. It’s a 30 min Noise Pop/IDM album split up by just two songs. Think Flying Lotus meets my bloody valentine!
