He craps all over Adam Lambert.
His manager challenged him to do this video. He took a week to work out the arrangement and practice up the operatic section. After his audition for Queen Extravaganza went viral (you can see it on the Queen Official channel, under the Queen Extravaganza playlist), Marc didn't think he'd get another viral video out there. This was of course, bigger than his audition video. He covers almost everything Queen, but also covers other artists and has his own original music as well. He didn't do the high note (he can hit it - see his pandemic cover of Under Pressure with his band), because a) Freddie didn't sing that note b) he just did a one man cover of BoRap!!!!! and c) wanted to finish out the song cleanly.
Nice reaction. Well done.
Mark does a one take of Who wants to live forever as well. It's chilling how good it is.
All of the TH-cam covers on his channel are absolutely fantastic. He's also got a ton more he did during pandemic Livestreams.
Marc has performed this one man Bohemian Rhapsody in football stadiums. He's also covered Who Wants to Live Forever, Killer Queen, and I Want to Break Free on his channel, on the piano with the occasional kazoo. Criminally underrated talent.
He has a lot of similarity to Freddie naturally, but he's obviously spent an innordinate amount of time to research Freddie Mercury in order to practice the way he sings. Incredible talent and incredible dedication. Plus the piano and the way he arranges the entire piece shows he's a master musician.
Hi Freya, I first became aware of Marc and his unique voice, which is very close to Freddy Mercury, at the end of 2019. I became a fan since that time and have already been to three "On Vision of Queen" concerts in Germany. The next tour in Germany starts very soon, in mid-September 😉
He sang most of the songs in the queen film btw
Wait until you hear his other covers.
Try Mercurotti😅.
Marcs momma got some explaining to do

petit conseil faite jouer la vidéo et donné vos commentaires après ! car arrêter la vidéo a toute les 5 secondes ca deviens irritant !
FYI that Shure SM7b was popularized by his first viral video tryout for Queen's official tribute.
6:46 - The reason Marc didn't do the high note is Freddie didn't sing the high notes. In the studio, Roger Taylor would cover the high notes. In concerts, Freddie would mostly "dodge" them. If you want a total awakening about Freddie in concert, do a search for "Freddie Mercury vocal fails." OUCH! Another thing is, Queen NEVER sang this complete song in concert. They would leave the stage during the operatic part, while a backing track played. Marc and his band play it all the way through, every night in concert.

Marc fronted his own multiple award winning Christian band (called "downhere") for over 10 years. Then he auditioned for Roger Taylor and won the lead with "Queen Extravaganza," Queen's "official" tribute band, in late 2011. He sang with them until the end of 2016. When they were not going to tour in 2017, he started his own cover band, "Ultimate Queen Celebration." He's performed with them since, along with "Black Jacket Symphony" (they do EXACT recreations of famous albums, in live concerts), "Symphonic Queen" (in Mexico, with a full symphony orchestra), and as part of "One Vision Of Queen" (a re-named UQC). He frequently tours central and eastern Europe, either with his band or with local musicians recruited for the tour. He's done concerts around the world, appearing multiple years in such far-flung locations such as Israel and Australia.
Marc also did vocals for the "Bohemian Rhapsody" movie. The 30+ year old analog magnetic tape master recordings would not have been up to modern "Dolby Atmos" digital quality standards, so they used a technique called "vocal layering," where they blended Marc's voice with Freddie's. If they didn't have a good copy of Freddie singing something they wanted in the movie, it was purely Marc singing it. for some reason, they gave Marc almost ZERO credit in the movie and after. But, if it wasn't for Marc, that movie could never have been made. You can see the tracks in this photo from the Live Aid scene mixing board, where Freddie's track is "LV-STEM LVAID DRY FREDDIE_01" and Marc's track is "LV-STEM LVAID_01," directly beneath it.

Marc has several albums of his own music out as well. In December 2019, Marc was the special guest star for the Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant Christmas tour. He brought the house down every night. The three of them released their cover of "Silver Bells" which went to number one on the Christian Music chart. For Christmas 2020, Marc teamed with Amy Grant to release their cover of "The Christmas Waltz," a Frank Sinatra song. Marc has also released albums of his own music, traditional Christmas music, and other covers.

Roger did the high notes in a few concerts. Kinda reminded me of the first time I heard a live performance of Foo Fighters' "The Pretender", it wasn't David singing the high notes in the chorus, it was Taylor.
Roger Taylor did that high note not Freddie that's why Marc did not do it.
Hi Freya! So Marc won a worldwide contest sponsored by Queen (Brian/Roger) to be a part of a Queen tribute band. He toured with the band for a few years and now has his own touring Queen tribute band. Marc also re-voiced Freddie for many sections of the Queen Biopic (Bohemian Rhapsody). I was fortunate enough to see Queen on the Day at the Races Tour and what you just watched was a Unicorn. A complete performance of this song never existed. Freddie would come out and sing the beginning section then would leave the stage for the Operatic section (a music video would play) then the whole band would join in for the finale. Marc is stunning in this version. Please check out some other songs by Marc....he is a world class artist!
His version of Tom Waits' "Take it with me" ist absolutly fabulous. ,
6:47 I believe Mark sung Freddie's note because the high note was Roger Taylor (the drummer)
his audition for the queen extravaganza he sang somebody to love, imo even better than this one.. just amazing
