- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 30 ธ.ค. 2023
- Happy New Year’s Eve! I thought a WIP parade would be the perfect way to wrap up 2023 and ring in a new year of stitching. I hope you’ll join me to see what I’ve been working on and what I plan on stitching in 2024.
I would be so appreciative if you would like my video and subscribe to my channel. Please leave a comment below or connect with me on Instagram at Stitchy Sarah Reads. Happy stitching friends!
We are all different but have the same goals… beautiful stitchery to be proud of. It saddens me to see how frustrated you’ve been. Patterns are like an old friend we didn’t have time to visit. Only we can decide on the time & space they hold. Show yourself some grace; we stitchers are here to lift & encourage. No judgement just applause!! Happy New Year 🎉
Thank you for the encouragement Deborah! Sometimes we’re our own worst critics. ❤
Thanks so much, Sarah!
Hey girl hey! 💜☮️
Hey girl!
What great inspiration - goals are good but as you said remember its a craft be sure it brings you joy! Happy New Year.
Thanks Jill! ❤
Enjoyed every minute. Your projects are gorgeous ❤
Thanks Dawn! ❤
Thank you for the wonderful WIP parade. Very inspiring. I love The Blue Flower as well.
Thanks Sarah! ❤
Lovely wip parade. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! ❤️
Don’t be hard on yourself; your whips will get done in time. Your patterns are beautiful!😊
Thank you! ❤
Love your video!! Grimms Haunt! Live it! I’m stitching GH 1857 which has a gorgeous blue roof !
Thanks! Have fun stitching that blue roof! ❤️
Loved seeing all of your projects. Looking forward to seeing all you have planned for 2024.
Thanks Vicky! ❤
So much fun seeing all your beautiful pretties! Love the idea of 24 in 24.
Thank you! ❤
It’s so funny when anyone says “it sounds terrible when you say no new starts this year”. It almost puts us in panic and anxiety mode. 😅 I was a monogamous stitcher for years. Actually until I started watching floss tube. Now I’m an out of control starter. 😂. I need to find a happy medium. Maybe this is the year!!!
Yes, a happy medium would be nice! ❤
Thanks for taking the time to show us all your projects, it’s really fun to see!!
Thanks for watching, Susan! ❤
Love to see all your WIPS. Thank you for sharing about Daisy and the Love to stitch. Bet you'll get that done in plenty of time for Valentine's day! 🐶
I love hiking! It's one of my favorite things to do, so I love nature, flowers, and animals as well with my cross stitch/embroidery. I love a lot of the patterns you've found. A few I am going to have to look into. Thanks for sharing!
Happy stitching Sara! ❤
enjoyed watching; you have a lot of beautiful kitted up patterns; happy stitching in 2024.
Thanks Renae! ❤
I enjoyed seeing all your projects. You will never be bored. Don't feel overwhelmed and take it on day at a time. I know how much one can enjoy cross stitching. Have fun. Pittsburgh, PA
Thank you Rosalie! ❤
Thanks for a great video Sarah, so glad I found you at video number one, you are a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to seeing lots of progress on your WIPs!
Thank you! ❤
Happy new year! Enjoyed seeing your WIPS. I stitched 64 finished in 2023. Hope to finish some WIPS in 2024. Happy stitching.
Congrats on your 2023 finishes! ❤
Happy new year! I’m going to finish one old project a month along with new clubs I’ve subscribed too. That’s my goal for 2024.
Great goal Pam! ❤
Love your solo TH-cam, especially your extras. Great video.
Thanks Linda! ❤
LOVED your WIP parade!!! You have encouraged me to tackle my WIPs in 2024!! Keep up the good work. I love your videos. ❤
Thanks! Happy stitching! ❤
Excellent WIP parade! Loved it! Great plans you have! You'll reach all your goals, you always do! Enjoy!
Thank you Laurie! ❤️
Omg Sarah thank you for the amazing eye candy! I have so many of your WIPS on my wishlist and I cannot wait to get some of those started and to see your 24 in 24 come along! Also, I'm totally focusing on finishing Night Walked Down this year too so I'll have to pull mine out when you work on yours! Happy stitching!
Yes, let’s finish Night Walked Down this year! 🙌🏻
Great Flosstube, Sarah. I enjoyed seeing your WIPs. My goals are similar to yours for 2024-less new starts, more finishing of WIPs. I am giving myself monthly goals. We are only 9 days in, but so far, so good!
Great job on the first 9 days! Hope the next 9 are just as successful! 😉 I’m also killing it, 10 days in! 😂
Happy New Year Sarah! I loved all your WIPS. You have some great projects picked for 2024 and I was glad to see Let Love Reign in there!
Thanks Terri! ❤
I bought that same planner! Using it for my stitch plans! Good luck with all your finishes 🎉
Thanks Janet! ❤
That was fabulous! Thank you for sharing. I am also trying/committed to reducing my wip count in 2024. I have 57, but I would like to be in the 25-30 range. It may take a couple of years for me. I am cheering you on! Good luck and Happy New Year!
I’m cheering you on too! Happy stitching! ❤
Sarah your WIP parade was awesome!!! Love the idea of 24 for 2024. You can do this because you are a devoted stitcher. Happy New year to you and your family!!❤❤
Thank you! ❤
Lovely WIP parade! Thanks for the eye candy!
I have just watched this WIP parade and enjoyed it immensely. Good luck with your plans for 2024 😊
Thank you Meryl! ❤️
I loved your WIP parade!! I love your variety of designers, fabrics, and flosses! I have a lot of notes!! You stitch so quickly, you’ll have these whipped out in no time! 😉 HappyNew Year!!❤
Thanks Joyce! ❤
Great WIP parade 🌻🪡🌻
Thanks Janet! ❤
Lots of WIPs, but I'm sure you will reach or exceed your 24 finishes in 2024. Happy Stitching 😊
Thanks for the encouragement, Lisa! ❤
Hi chick. Remember there are no such things as sad starts, only starts. God bless Teachers!!!
Thanks for the reminder, Deborah! ❤
Hi Sarah - Happy New Year. Enjoyed seeing all your WIPs. I too love The Blue Flower and Lindy Stitches! I am also a top left corner starter if there is a border. No border and I will start in the middle. I totally understand getting bored with stitching borders. So I listen to a book and am a bit stubborn so I persevere. I am rooting for you this year to get some finishes and make a large dent in your total WIPs. You stitch so beautifully, it will be fun to see some completed projects. Take Care.
We have a lot in common! I need to be more stubborn when it comes to stitching and finishing borders.
Lordy - don’t ever apologize for a hubby cleaning! Lol so many don’t help. Try DMC B5200 Floche in white - it’s one stand but thicker. 1.5 single strand. I love it. Sulky 12wt is another 1 strand.
Thanks for the tip, Jan! ❤
Happy New Year Sarah! I just found you again and I have binge watched all three videos and am up to date. I have been with you since Stitchy Sarah Reads and am so glad you are continuing to share your stitching journey with us.
I have reduced my WIPs from 120 to just under 60 and I am limiting myself to a focus of 24 in 24. I hate to have so many in time out, but with 18 being full coverage, I need to focus on a fewer amount so I can whittle the numbers down. The only thing I am allowing myself to start in 24 are smalls and those require a finish to move on to another. I am of an age that I feel as if I need to complete what I have started and not leave my family with a room full of incomplete projects. (We won't discuss the knitting, crochet, and quilting WIPs here 🤫) You have a strong idea of your goals and I look forward to following your progress.
Thanks for sticking with me since the beginning! Good luck on your 2024 goals! ❤
A lot of Wips! But I can see you finishing a lot. You are very focused. Great video.
Thanks Pamela! ❤
Loved the parade! Great 24 in 24. Keep us updated ❤
Thanks Patti! ❤
Fabulous WiP parade! I always love your videos and I look forward to watching your progress in 2024. 🎉
Thank you! ❤
Omg- everyday stitching, 90+ starts and finished 36of those. I aspire to this!!!!! 42 FOs in total. Wow, wow, wow! I saw your 2023 WIP parade last June or so and was impressed then too. Great job and stats to inspire us all!
Thank you Jan! ❤️
Loved seeing your WIP Parade - you can make a lot of progress with your plans in 2024!
Thanks Laurie! ❤
That was a really great wip parade. When you pulled out your Moonshine Cabin start because mine looks exactly the same! I did buy a light panel to put on my lap so when I am ready to tackle that one again I will be able to see the stitches this time. I love the plan of Handemade by Sarah W to work on projects to finish in a quarter at a time. I have 26 in 24 to get done so I pulled out 7 to get done this 1st quarter. The Blue Flower has beautiful designs and no one does animals like she does (except maybe Barbara Anna).
I laughed when you said your Moonshine Cabin looks the same as mine! Good luck on your goal of 26 finishes! ❤
WOWOWOWOWOW I am obsessed with all your WIP's!!
Thank you! I’m actually in the middle of your WIP parade!
Best of luck on finishing your beautiful projects. The best part is the are kitted and started, so that helps. Have a wonderful New Year!
Thanks Paulette! ❤
Happy new year Sarah and thank you for entertaining us all year. Looking forward to seeing more of you in 2024. Happy stitching Maureen .🇦🇺🌈🦘
Thank you Maureen! ❤
I’m late getting to enjoy this video, Sarah- but wow! Your projects are so inspiring!! I loved watching 💛
Better late than never! Thanks for watching, Jamie! ❤️
Not sure if intentional, but it looks like you put your North Pole Santa chart in with Hello Halloween- if you are missing it that is where it is!
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll go check. 😬
The more WIPS, the better the WIP parade!! Love all of yours!
Thank you Sylvia! ❤️
The Blue Flower is one of my favorites, too! Enjoyed seeing your WIPS. I'm planning to do 24 new starts in 2024 - I did NOT count my current WIPS before planning this so I may need to steal your idea and do 25 finishes for 2025! My husband just rolls his eyes because he would be a monogamous stitcher.
Have fun with your 24 starts! ❤
Wow what eye candy! This was a wonderful wip parade!!!!
Thanks friend! ❤
Happy New Year for 2024 Sarah. I look forward to sharing out stitchy time together. :)
Thank you! Happy stitching! ❤
Congratulations on your WIP parade. You have wonderful starts and goals for the new year. As a retired third grade teacher I know how exhausted I was when I got home from school. I hope you can get some stitching in daily to relax. Happy New Year!
I definitely look forward to my evening stitching after a long day of teaching! ❤
Your stitches are so neat and pretty. All your finishes will be heirlooms.
Aw, thank you Gloria! 😊
Hi Sarah!! Happy 2024!! ✨🥂💕
Love your top! Wow! Good for you for keeping up with Book of Days! I love Lindy Stitches, too! Beautiful WIPS!! I did buy some grampa's sleeve, because you use it so often! Now to find the right pattern! 😊
So many things look great in Grandpa’s Sleeve! Have fun choosing a project for it! ❤
Great Video so far. Your so organize with wips. You have your act together girl.Happy New Year.🍷🌲🎈
Thanks Linda! ❤
Great video! I love your 2024 approach to your WIPS. Especially breaking it into quarters. I hope it's ok to join you in that idea. Happy stitching!
Absolutely! The more the merrier! ❤
Best wishes Sarah. Loved your WIP parade. I am going to concentrate on some of my big wips. Such As Consider the Lilies. ❤
Oooh, I love Consider the Lilies! Happy stitching! ❤
Loved looking at your WIPs! I can't wait to see you finish some of them. You've encouraged me to dig through mine and pull some for finishing this year. I am not going to set my goal at 24 though LOL I'll just be happy with however many I get to. I want to focus on getting my stuff FFO'd. I have a stack that needs to be done.
Have fun working on your WIPs and getting some FFOs done! ❤️
Great WIP parade. Happy New Year!
Thank you Pat! ❤
It was a lovely WIP parade with so many amazing starts on beautiful fabrics. It is sad about the Liz Matthews 40ct bottom of your pattern not matching the other half. Perhaps you could be creative adding part of the top portion in 40ct just to match up your two fabrics? I’m confident you will salvage your beautiful start! 😀 Have fun with 24 in 24 stitching. My goal is to stitch my oldest WIPs and go forward by date started. I’ve got plenty to keep me busy this year. I’ll be watching your progress on these in your future floss tubes. Enjoy the journey!
Ugh, I was so disappointed about my mess-up on the Liz Mathews pattern. 😢 Good luck getting some WIPs completed this year, Nancy! ❤
@@sarahsstitchery Thank you Sarah
Sarah, I watched you for almost two hours while I stitched. I’m so glad I got all of that stitching time in tonight. You certainly overwhelmed me with all of your WIPs. I probably only have about five of them. I am basically a monogamous stitcher and that’s the way I like it. I want to get my five projects done before I start any new charts. Happy New Year to you! 🎉🍾
Glad I could keep you company while you stitched! ❤
Happy New Year, love your projects.
Thanks Debra! ❤
Happy new year! ❤️
Happy new year!
I love all your WIPs - we have good taste eh? 😉
I love that your husband was vacuuming ❤. And no, I couldn’t hear any of it.
I’m glad you couldn’t hear the vacuuming! 😂
Your videos are an absolute delight to watch!
That’s very kind of you to say, Sally! ❤
Thanks for the great wip parade, loved it:)
Thank you Angel! ❤
Wow! So many beautiful charts and stitching! Your plan is fabulous! I restarted let love reign this month- i have changed the colors. I am stitching it for my 50th wedding anniversary. I’m on year 47 so I have three years to finish it😂🤪 I also have a few of your other charts but have not started any of them. One stitch at a time!🤗 Thank you for sharing! Happy Stitching!
How special that you’re stitching LLR to celebrate 50 years of marriage! Have fun with your restart! ❤
Happy New Year! You have a good plan, specifying what you will work on when. I think that'll be key to your success. Hope you wrote it down or typed it out, not just have it in your mind. Seeing the plan in black & white can help strengthen resolve. Little disappointed that Dasher didn't make the cut😊 but you have a great variety of patterns to keep interest and motivation. Appreciate you sharing your thread conversions for Winter Cometh and Summer Refreshes. Best wishes to you and family in 2024.
I’ll definitely keep working on Dasher, but it might be a bit ambitious to plan a finish for this year.❤
You have an awesome WIP Parade. I love watching these. I do not have this many WIPs but as you said it is a craft.and I do not.judge what anyone else does. Good luck with your plans, it sounds very achievable. My plans are to finish several of my WIPs and start some new in replacement of those. Also this is my 60th birth year so I have 3 piece I will work on in celebration. I outline my plan in my last flosstube.
Great work and Happy New Year. 🎉🎉🎉
This will be a special year of stitching for your 60th bday! I’ll make sure to check out your Flosstube!
That took me three days to get through (life interruptions)...... thanks for putting together your WIP parade. I like to see what you're stitching. We have some similar taste in things. I set my goals to work on two biggies, alternating months, and put about two or three mediums or smalls in the monthly mix trying to complete them before I start new ones. Trust me, though, I have a healthy stash of charts. :) You'll get your 24 done. You're very efficient with your time.
Thanks for the encouragement, Gretchen! ❤
Welcome back Sarah.. I have watched all of your flosstube videos from the beginning.. I really enjoy seeing your stitches.. your WIPS are coming along beautifully.. I am definitely inspired to do some of them this year. The Dusk fabric from PTP will look great with my Santa's ❤.. I wish you a very Happy New Year from Australia.. Cheers and happy stitches Morena 🥳🐨
Thanks for watching all the way from Australia! ❤
I really enjoyed your video. So glad I found you.
I am finishing 12 WIPS this year. Not sure how I am going to achieve that since one of them is Lady of the Flag. Some where along the way I hope to pull out 12 different charts that I have kitted up and start them. Mine are all large finishes as well with the exception of one. I have two monochromatic in that list.
Did you know there is a Scissor Sampler 2. I was looking for the one you have this morning and stumbled across it as well.
You have some of the most beautiful fabrics I have seen. Great taste. I love how you use colored fabric so much. Unfortunately I don’t have a LNS. The closest is over 8 hours away in another state. That is one thing N Dakota needs badly. In 2022 we went East to my in laws on the way I got to stop at three different shops. At the first one I found the most amazing fabric and floss to use. Yes that one is in my twelve to work on. Can’t wait to benge watch some of your videos.
Thanks Tami! Yes, I’ve seen Scissor Sampler 2 and it’s beautiful! Good luck on your goal! ❤
I enjoyed your wip parade. I love your plans, and adapting part of your strategy😊 for myself. Happy new year to you and yours❤❤
Thank you Trisha! Happy new year! ❤
Enjoyed your floss tube - I have many of the same projects - so motivated to stitch. Happy New Year
Happy new year Bonnie! And happy stitching! ❤
Happy New Year, you have a lot of beautiful WIPs can’t wait to see all your finishes and progress this year!
Thank you and happy new year! ❤
Sarah, WOW, WOW, WOW! Loved every minute of this video. Your design choices and fabric choices are wonderful together. You can do this. You have made a wonderful plan and picked some small pieces that will help you keep going forward. I have faith that you will stick to your goals for 2024. Just feel my hand on your back giving you a push. Looking forward to everything you will accomplish. Happy New Year!
I need all the pushing I can get, Fran! 😂
Happy New Year! I enjoy your floss tube so much
Thank you Vicki! Happy new year! ❤
Beautiful WIPs!
Thank you Leslie! ❤
Wishing you a happy productive and inspiring NewYear! I too want to work on the many WIPs I have. I’m afraid to count lol.
Wishing you a happy and productive new year in return! Have fun stitching your WIPs! ❤
I have the same problems with liking my white stitches on 32 count 2x2. I had a friend suggest trying floche, which I had never heard of before. DMC makes it. I got mine at 123 and finished my We Santa 2023 with it, and it's a total game changer for me. I used 1 strand of floche on 32 count and I love my white stitches. I got it at 123. The floss all comes in one big loop, so be aware of that if you try it. It's not a thing where you can just pull the thread from one end like 6-strand DMC.
I’ve heard of floche, but have yet to try it. Thanks for the tip!
@@sarahsstitchery You’re welcome. I’ll tag you in my IG post and you can see what mine looks like. I posted about it earlier there.
Happy new year🎉
Happy new year Sharon! ❤
Wow! You have a lot of beautiful WIPs. I’m glad you have picked 24 to be your focus this year. I think it will give you a lot of satisfaction to get them finished! I have found when I’m overwhelmed, it helps to break it down into “smaller bites” which is what you have done! I enjoy all the WIP parades no matter how small or big they are!
Thanks for the encouragement, Dee! ❤
Great stuff!
Thanks! ❤
Loved your WIP parade. I hope you are able to meet all your goals. Thank you so much for sharing. I even saw a couple of charts I’d like to try. I have found it very helpful and motivating for myself to write daily in my Book of Days what I stitched on each day. I use the column on the left to list WIPs, starts and finishes-color coded. I’m a little OCD…can you tell? LOL Have a blessed 2024!❤
Color coding is a good idea! ❤
Happy New Year,Sarah! I love all your WIPS. I can see why you started them. It’s so smart of you to you to have a plan in place to get some progress!
Thanks Linda! ❤
Hi Sarah! Loved your WIP Parade and glad to see I am not the only one with a few "sad starts"! I noticed that you had some kraft colored floss drops and wondered where you had gotten them? Just love seeing all your progress and really enjoy watching ALL of your videos!
I get all of my floss drops from Amazon.
Good luck to you on your quest for finishing up 24 WIPs in 24! That's my goal, too...but there are just so many cute/pretty charts! I really like the idea of breaking it up into 6/quarter. I don't have 24 WIPs, but when (if) I get what I have finished I have more than enough charts to choose from for the remaining!! Happy New Year to you and yours!
Thank you Julie! ❤
Happy New Year! I ended up adding a couple of your wips to my list of to-dos!
Happy new year and happy stitching!
Happy New Year Sarah. I am loving your new channel.
Thank you! ❤
I'd love to know about the acrylic boxes with your floss in them behind your shoulder. ❤ and I loved the wip parade. I'm just now getting back into stitching after a break for many years.
I talked about them recently in Flosstube 4. Hope that helps! ❤
@@sarahsstitchery thank you! I appreciate the info!
HAPPY NEW YOU YEAR TO YOU AND YOURS
Happy new year Louise! ❤
Happy 2024. I really enjoy your WIP parades and you are one of the few floss tubers that I can watch for hours straight. You do a great job of showing everything and giving the details. I hope you enjoy all your stitching this year and just remember that goals can be adjusted and changed as needed. We don't want to make too many to where it doesn't become fun anymore. XJu and Fox and Rabbit are my favorite linens too. Question, does white show up well on Prehistoric? I haven't tried that color yet.
Yes, the Prehistoric is dark enough that white shows up on it!
Happy New Year Sarah 🎉 I loved seeing your WIPs…. I’m half way through, but wanted to mention it might be worth giving the sulky threads in white a try…. It might help with the 2 threads in white on 36/32 problem as you may be able to get away with using only one thread and it wouldn’t be such a chore to stitch - just a thought as I haven’t used them myself but Liz Matthews did a review on her Patreon and they looked good on there xx
That’s a good idea! Thanks!
Happy New Year, Sarah! Lots of your WIPs are mine or in my stash - looking forward to seeing your progress on them. I'm trying to get my WIP count down too and I'm targeting the ones that are closest to a finish first, but still getting stitches in on the others too 😊
Good luck on your finishing goals! ❤
I'm so glad you posted tonight, Sarah! I love your channel and subscribed on the very first video. I wish you the very happiest New Year! 🎉
Thank You 🙏 so much for taking time to share your end of the year wips I enjoyed All of them very much hard to pick a favorite because you do lovely work 🤗 You are blessed to have a husband who wants you to have a dust free home 🤗 not always perfect timing 😊 but he cares 🤗Many blessing to you and your family for A HAPPY NEW Year 2024🎉🥂🍾🙏✌️
Thank you Jan! Happy new year! ❤
Love your video. Happy New Year to you and your family!!
Thank you Cindy! Happy new year! ❤
So much fun!! You inspired me to get some stuff done!! I’m doing WIPGO to try to get some work done on some of those projects that I love, but for whatever reason never get stitching on. I’ve never made plans before…we’ll see how it goes 🤷♀️
Good luck with your WIPGO goals! ❤
HAPPY NEW YEAR SARAH! Loved spending New Years Eve! 🥳❤
Happy new year Angie! ❤
