- Join me during the next steps in my cancer treatment. This episode I will take you with me to my radiation appointments and show you abit about my day to day life for the last 5 weeks. This treatment was 5 days a week for 5 weeks with my last day being a double hit of radiation. So join me as I explain best I can about what you can expect and what a cancer paitient can go through when needing radiation and chemotherapy together.
All the best to you, Sir. It's tough going, the treatment, but it will save your life 👍
Thanks mate, yeah I look at each day as a gift never promised anything and one day I will be able to get back out in the road living life 🤙🏻
@@tripoz62 It feels like it's taking forever when you're in treatment, but before you know it you'll be ringing that bell. Meantime, find out what foods and drinks taste good to you during chemo, and stock up on them!
Cut yourself plenty of slack in terms of 'being good'. There's a time and a place for strict/pure diets etc, but struggling through treatment isn't it. Enjoy whatever makes it easier. For some it's good wine, for some it's weed, and for others it's junk food or some other treat. As long as you get clearance from your caregivers, enjoy!
Your absolutely right about that, just keeping on moving forward 👍
Yeah I’ve definitely been finding out what foods don’t work for me anymore, I’ve been pretty lucky though not to much of a dramatic change im thankful for that. Thanks for taking the time to reach out mate it means a lot 🤙🏻
@@tripoz62 That's good. Having that food thing figured out makes such a big difference. Unfortunately chemo is cumulative - meaning the after effects get worse with each subsequent treatment - so knowing ahead of time what will make you feel better/happier, is really important.
Another useful tip, if you haven't done it already. Ice water with lemon. Lemon is so good for nausea, and for some reason cold water feels good for a lot of chemo patients. If you don't like ice water however, just keep cut up lemons in the fridge, and have a wedge with you to 'sniff' when you're feeling icky. Even the smell helps.
Keep us posted on your treatment, meantime ✌
I hope the treatment goes well!
Thank you so much I have finished this bit of my treatment next is surgery again
You're looking well mate, fingers n toes crossed that Robocop lookin contraption zapped those pesky cancer cells good n proper!
lol thank you so much and yes I hope it has worked a bit I still have a surgery in a couple of weeks time but I’m still positive about it all and I think it goes a long way 💪
Sending prayers that all goes well
Thank you so much ☺️ ❤️
