    The lean canvas is a tool used to design, validate, and pivot a business model. Based on the lean philosophy espoused by Eric Ries in the popular book Lean Startup, the lean canvas helps an entrepreneur understand the building blocks of their business model. By designing a business model using the lean canvas, entrepreneurs can work to identify the assumptions present in their model and work to test those assumptions.

    Excellent clear explanation.
    Love your recommendation "when you are filling out the canvas don't take a lot of time because truthfully whatever you put in this is probably going to be wrong".

      massstigma Thank you! I'm thinking of doing an entire course on the topic on Udemy. I'm still in the early stages, but I'm thinking the course would be structured around:
      - using the lean canvas to create a business model
      - examples of common business models
      - instructions on how to validate the business model
      Is that something that would be useful to you? Please let me know.

    This is NOT the Osterwalder Model. The Book BM Generateion does not have Prob/Solution and key metrics. :(

      It is an adaptation of the Business Model Canvas, that's why it is called the Lean Canvas.

    Great walk through. But I dont really understand why you have excluded the Relationships factor and replaced it with Advantages. //Alex from Sweden

    • @Alanisbusinessacademy
      @Alanisbusinessacademy  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A Reza Niawik Thank you. Customer Relationships are a component of the business model canvas, however we don't believe that is absolutely necessary for a startup that has yet to test their concept. Instead, startups want to focus on validating their concept provides a solution to a problem. Once this is accomplished and the business has been operating, a business model canvas is more appropriate in my opinion.
