Kas in Logic, right click the pan button for the selected track ON THE LEFT SIDE of Logic's screen, NOT the main window i.e. the side where you can add plug-ins etc. You can also do so on the mixer window. You'll see a drop down menu showing Stereo Pan, Balance, or Binaural Pan. If you right click on the pan button in the main window where the midi is displayed nothing happens.

This is all great advice. All 5 tips will definitely help. Great video my dude! I’d say it’s a good idea to mix at low volumes, but also test things periodically at other volumes just to make sure everything is still where you want it to be. It can also help point out harsh frequencies when you crank the volume for a few seconds. Best way to avoid ear fatigue though is just make sure things aren’t too loud over all.

Gain staging is working each track and also all the tracks together at your 2 buss...so if you hit your 2 buss at -8dbfs is very probable that if u put a plugin(that emulates analog) yo uwill be hitting his input at -8dbfs... that means u are 10dbfs louder that optimal input level this plugin needs......

This is all fantastic accurate advice I would like to add on to EQ portion though to boost wide cut narrow... and if u have to go more than 3db.. no matter how good you think it sounds when you go to master it will create subtle flanges that are not exactly but when you go to mix that track live as a DJ those subtle in harmonics and flanges become anti phase locking nightmares, especially if your using scratch or Serato... I have two golden rules when a track is done and I listen to it to decide whether or not it is releasable. Does it make you want to dance or move your body and to can a DJ mix it. Because he's going to other people for your music that you really get your name out there. Chairs hope I could add some extra info on an already great video! have a great day buddy! I'm excited to start up my channel as well because I spent years during TH-cams First Growing Pains. And was lucky enough to be involved with some amazing techno artists that really showed me these first hand

Anything panned wide is going to have major ducking in mono, so if you’re doing mono mix for level, not just masking, I would recommend panning everything up the center and then doing panning in stereo after you’re happy with the mono mix. If you pan before or during the mono mix, once you flip back to stereo, your center channel stuff is going to sound like it gets a little tucked.

Idk about other people but clipping drums in FL sounds 🔥 to me. I push my Oneshots a db or two over then bounce them back down. After that I bring everything down to a decent level but that extra flava is already on them drums.

@@LifeStyleDidIt idk what's different but when trying that in other DAWs the clipping sounds horrible. May be some sort of coding under the hood that handles hot signals differently. Idk 4real lol

The other thing that sped up my process is finding my own template. Ive got certain harware eqs on busses. I got the fruity gains at the right volume feeding all them into the inst. Bus, i basically have everything leveled 1at the right volume, so when i work, i can work on sound design mainly. Yes some things aren't perfect but then i go in there and fix them. I think the only thing i wasnt doing til now, was leaving enough headroom
