I was looking for this video since the first time I seen it but forgot some of the stuff. Shits top tier. I use this technique to level out my 808 to stay at a constant peak level. I just set it to the level that the first note peak is registered at and I also use the L1 limiter.
Lifestyle your an 808 scientist! Lots of greats tips! I think I would prefer to actually duplicate the 808 for the high end distortion tip, with sends its impossible to solo the actual track.
Literally just used the same distortion technique today 🙌🏾

Man you always share the best authentic information. Some of the stuff I learn from you is so good though I'm like "how in the hell did he even figure that out, I wouldn't of even know that was a thing." Did you go to school or do you really just be figuring this out on your own?
At the end of the video you suggest maybe using the distorted mixer copy track at different parts of the song.. you should make another video showing how to make the mixer automatically do what you want instead of manually with a mouse as the song plays! :)

I'd recommend on the 808 send to map the distortion wet dry or one of the EQ points to an the Fruity Envelope Controller.
