- Here I review Llyn Gwynant campsite in Snowdonia, a site I've stayed at half a dozen times over the last few years. See what I think of it and look at the stunning footage I took of the area.

Stayed here 45 years ago out of season, it was a field. The washing facilities were the stream. I don't remember there being anything else!
lovely campsite fantastic scenery and was amazing to be situated right next to the lake ..however I would never ever visit again at a wknd or when kids are off school. the weekend was like Glastonbury without the music tents pitched far to close together it was just awful our idea of hell !!! the Mon n Tues were bliss only handful of tents in each field
Agreed! I took my kayak on the lake, it was lovely. It's a great place out of peak season.
Hi Daniel, I'm new to camping (car and tent) I want to camp in north wales, can you recommend another site to me which has decent facilities but perhaps less busy? (Like the ones you said you prefer, a bit more secluded) Thank you
Too loud left after 1 night never again.
Can you walk from the campsite to the miners track? Any shortcuts? Or better to drive to the pen y pass?
Sure, there's a path in the valley next to the afon glaslyn stream from the campsite leading up to Pen y Pass car park which is the starting point for the Pyg and Miner Tracks. It will add about 4km ish to the trek (one way) and nearly 300m of extra height gain.
I normally park in the laybys next to the Pen Y Gwryd hotel that costs £4/6hrs or £8/12hrs coins only or parking app (never tried the app). No need to walk in the road, there's a path that runs below the A4086 road up to Pen y Pass, takes about 20 minutes.
Nice review. You had to climb a mountain to find a quiet place to film though! 🤣
Hi Daniel
I’ve stay there a couple of times, really like it, but it has always been out of season. Been quite and friendly. Wouldn’t want to stay in peak times but that is only because I have a choice. Being semi retired. Thanks for all your great posts. Barry
Bryn gloch is a nice campsite near the rangers and rhyd ddu
You didn't mention price.
it's expensive we paid 119 quid for 3 nights
That's a long story. Different prices for those with/without a car, prices change at peak times etc. I'm gonna try to keep these review vids shortish as it looks as though most people tune off at about 5mins.
Nice review bud. 👍
