- This is a fantasy team created just for entertainment purposes that the eligibility rules for state of origin were relaxed. It futures a number of players that have been in Queensland since they were teenagers and if the rules were ever relaxed they may be given a chance to represent the Queensland Maroons.

I didn’t realize big Nelson and Kikau played their junior footy in QLD. Our potential ‘23 team already looks solid under current eligibility rules…but, can you imagine if we had those two as well?! Faaark!
yeah if the eligibility rules were relaxed QLD will be almost hard to beat
DCE is still doing pretty well in club land for (the maroons of) Manly. He is the Qld spiritual leader, you can't leave him of the maroons team.
i like the team, i would start harry grant tino and patty, brandon NAS and jason on the bench

Justin Olam was in consideration but he moved to QLD when he was already an adult so i left him out. Xavier Coates as great as he is, lacks laterall defense due to him being very tall and can't accelerate quickly in short bursts to cover short distances so NSW and other NRL teams don't kick high to his side rather they run the ball. So thats why i left out two of PNG's biggest names in this fantasy team. Thanks for the kind comment wantok.

Walsh is the best qld no.1 for me. Ponga interchange utility. Need Hess & Cotter though. But JT @ 13 would be great😊 & maybe Carrigan at Prop but yeah if all those players were in…QLD wouldnt lose for years 😊
